We bought a lovely bird bath in memory of my dad for our garden.
We had our first couple off bluetits in it this morning - he would have been really pleased - he liked to take photos of them!

What a lovely way to remember your dad.
Still in hospital, but coming along nicely cheers - she can now walk unaided, and has regained some use of right hand side.
She does however have apraxia, which complicates things, but so far every day is better than the last. Long way to go but all positive.

It's really nice - it's a salt glaze one - so should stand up to the winter weather.
And the birds are just starting to get the hang of it - sadly it was damn well frozen over when our first birds visited, but lesson learned, will sort that.
I had all summer to fix our back garden security light but now that it's winter and raining a lot I figured it's now a good time to get it fixed. Not that anyone will break in but it at least might help the milkman find the right door for a change.

I haven't seen a milkman in probably 40 or more years. Didn't realize that was still a thing...
It's all plastic bottles we get delivered here.
My parents always wait until it's dark, cold, and moist before requiring "help" with outdoor jobs.
Had to carry a 6 foot fence panel a mile this morning as it cost 4 quid to get it delivered. I'm glad it was cheaper for them that way. So very glad. Oh yes.
Does he nick them by the palette from Asda before delivery?

Half the trip is through an active cemetery though, and there were a few heads turning at the rough looking bloke frozen and carrying a fence panel around, whilst quietly swearing a lot.
