Thanks Flossy, but not even completely restarting the launcher + game helped.
@GraphiteGB's workaround helped though.
I was sitting in Maia on Bright Sentinel a bit dumbfounded, not sure what I did wrong
Yes I found that too, they seem permanently unavailable.

By the way, I have had several problems dropping in on the Megaships, I was in the correct range but dropped 900k out.
Anyone else experiencing this? Both at Bright Sentinel and Heart of Taurus 🤷‍♂️
I noticed this on approach to the Heart of Taurus last night. Not sure if it's to do with the close proximity of the rings but it was very frustrating.

You're on the wrong side of the ring.
Flip round to the other side or approach vertically.

I hate trying to do CGs at the weekend, can't get 10mins without one of the relatives demanding I drop everything and help them immediately. "It's only a game- pause it!"

Docking computer FTW

You're on the wrong side of the ring.
Flip round to the other side

I've been doing that since yesterday, after some people theorized it in the chat, and so far so good.
Destination lock used to not work properly (despite saying it engaged correctly) when I approached from "below" the ecliptic (completely arbitrary ofc), and it has been working so far by coming from "above".

I hope it stays that way, if not I'll just go back to the previous, totally safeish technique aka "fly face first into the ring then smash the boost button for the last 20km".
Which was kinda more fun too.
...
Mmmmhhh, they can't take back your pilot license, right ?

I didn't think there was a wrong side when a station is inside a ring
Me neither (never had that issue in the past), but there's clearly something wrong happening and changing your approach seems to work so 🤷‍♂️

- and besides, which way is 'up'?
That's the best part, you get to choose your own "up". And then find the side that works by trial and error.

Or just use my patented Ring-Assisted Active Braking Maneuver

When it's just 'above' the ring approaching close to plain of the ring on the opposite side will drop you out 100s of km from the station.
Either flip over the ring to approach along the plain or at right angles to the ring which will punch you straight through.

Delphi will be closing in the next few minutes. Looks like from Inara's stats that momentum is now swinging towards Maia.

If you drop at Heart Of Taurus, you'll find that it's not in the ring (like an asteroid base) but a few (hundred? dozen?) km outside. Proof of the pudding: you can switch to SC almost immediately (ok, after leaving the MS's mass lock) and don't have to slog on until you've left the ring's mass lock.

That means that, depending on which side you approach from, you need to drop through the ring to reach the station. With an orthogonal approach, that works (barely, but it works). If you approach too flat, the ring will drop you out. As a hint in this case, there are two (overlapping) RES to one side of HoT - if you have the planet "above" and HoT centered, then those two RES are to the left when approaching from the "right" side (or was it to the right?).

Maia is done.

Is it, though?

Transactions panel says 1D 15H left, even though Tier 1 has been reached (Inara says Finished as well):

Also, how do we collect the cash reward if the Mission Board is still greyed out?
