insect-ish theme. scarab. scorpion.. frogs are not in the same animal group. See in the future, humanity names everything after earth animal species out of some weird nostalgic tradition ...even though the vast majority of humanity for many generations has probably never seen or interacted with those animals on their planet or space station of origin ...

Damn, I just went white to match my Courier, Scorpion, Commander and Manticore Executioner... but I'm no
what's even better, is we have translations coming from 1 person ...translating a story that is 1 sided with no corroborating evidence. It's practically begging to be retconned in the future whenever it becomes too contrived to fit a change in direction in - only they've given themselves such a clear deus ex machina so they dont have to call it that.
I'm betting guardians are bad. Their AI obviously thought so. And if a machine created by a species for the sole purpose of being better murderers than their creator could be isn't a sign that you're probably not the protagonist in any story of history but your own...then i dont know what you'd call a terminator creating civilization that is stupid enough to create their own executioner.
The only thing worse, would be a civilization that comes later, follows the same poor choices, gets a howto manual on what the previous civilization that failed did...and then copies it.
Who wants to bet that salvation is leveraging some guardian sentinel crap (or is one itself). Hopefully we've started creating our codex documents so we can write ourselves into looking less evil and stupid for the next guys to get in a few million years.
