Bug report: game CTD every time i go in "Stored Modules" after the new update

EVERYONE DO NOT STORE ANY MULTICREW WEAPON STUFF

I just tested the 1G multicannon and it broke the game


to be safe I'm gonna assume that all the multicrew modules are bugged and will break your game if you store them

so everyone avoid all multicrew modules

all others seem to be fine
It crash me when I go to the utility modules and then click on the modules too.

Hardpoints seems fine, as I was try to mass store my modules via "stored modules".
 
As the title says, after the update 9, my game CTD every time i click for open stored modules. It has not happened before this update, please help/fix!
EDIT: i don't have Odyssey

Same issue here on Horizons (don't have Odyssey either).

Every time I click on Store Modules in the Outfitting menu of my fleet carrier, the game crashes to desktop.

Don't know if it also happens while docked at a station, though, haven't tried it yet. Will report back if it does.

I have this in 2 of my accounts currently. making certain ships unuseable
this combined with the loss of firegroups makes it pointless to even try other ships of which I have over 200 in each account.
apparently not enough ships though because it is a passenger conda in 2 accounts. both are heavily armed. the only thing I see as odd is that BEAMS section on ships on the module panel still has beams listed but both ships have hammers and MC's, no beams, hammers ofc being listed as beams
no idea why this would affect stored module in any way yet

so far 2 days of not being able to use many many ships and not able to change anything other than store everything and make a ship totally useless.

guessing it has something to do with the addition of the new toys and now something is named wrong thanks to coding without knowing how.
an example might just be that HAMMERS are NOT BEAMS!!!!
dunno, do categories mean anything anymore, or consistency in naming convention or is null() now suddenly not a thing?
too bad we have to wait till next week to learn the answer.
 
getting very tired

seems it may not be related to current loadout but something is actually wrong in stored modules.
I have bought several new ships and none can go into stored modules.
so, again good job fdev. make the game unplayable for the weekend, AGAIN.

any chance you guys could schedule your really bad updates to a Monday instead of a Thursday? this happens so often that it seems very intentional
doing this on a Thursday and then ignoring us for the weekend is very poor planning
you should start having sales on BLACK Thursdays, make a new special day just for your failures, comes with huge discounts and bonus arx
 
you get that the list of your modules helps no-one?

if we cannot get into stored modules, we cannot see or remove anything.

my guess is that many of us have a specifically engineered module or a specific reward module that is no longer correct
that fdev made a change to storage and did not look for any issues it would cause.

probably the faulty modules are the multicrew ones, like chaff, missiles, pd etcetera
 
not specific for multicrew modules
I have many in the account that works
tbh all my accounts have all the same modules in storage
so it is more likely IMO they did a count or a description change

know that my storage is 80% full on all my accounts and that I have near 300 ships in each account, approx. 75% of my ships are also for storage

that I ended up with new bookmarks in my accounts telling me I have 2 carriers in 2 very different locations in each account tells me a copy paste without attention to detail from EDO to horizons was done.
 
the only difference I know of is limpet controllers
my working account has 1 hatch breaker, the other dis-functional accounts have a few regular limpet collector controllers in each
I usually have all the details in my database of my program I made to track my modules and storage and ships and BGS, it is usually updated several times daily, but not able to since this update.
 
Just to add to the ongoing issue. As of the latest update 1.60 (I believe) distributed Dec. 9, 2021, partially broke my ED game.
Like others have reported, when I go into OUTFITTING and try to swap HARDPOINTS (any of them) the game crashes and drops me Desktop.
The same thing occurs when I select STORED MODULES.
It occurs in ED: Horizons and ED.
I have submitted a Crash Report but apparently this issue has already come to the attention of the "Team" so maybe this problem won't last long. I hope.
By the way, I'm playing on PC.

Actually, all "Stored Module" activity crashes the game.
Just click on the tab and SPLAT.
FD. You better fix this one quick please.
 
Looks like I am not playing until a fix, as I cannot scan planets, or even set module up to scan as that is not working, not had a look at my other ships, fix the break what a circle, never mind maybe next month?

Popped into Horizons and enabled scanners etc, went back into Odyssey and they working again... also noticed I still had the new SRV onboard but could not deploy in Horizons, maybe at some point?
