State of the Game

My PS4 mainly streams movies and TV series. If I get a PS5, it might be doing the same.

#PCMasterRace.

Y'know what it is for me? All PC games require an Xbox controller, and the thing is ergonomically brutal. I know the PS4 can be used wired, or wireless via a bit of a bodge, but most of the games still tell you to press A/Y/X/B for things, and I've got no idea what's going on.

And honestly, there's something nice about flumping on the sofa with a wireless controller and playing on the 75" telly as opposed to sitting at my desk.

Maybe if I can get EDO to run on a Surface Pro, I would flump on the sofa and fingerpaint my way to space fame.

Cheers. Yeah it was very many years ago when I had it, I remember the stubby bottle with pull cap tops, and not normal bottle tops.
Mickey's big mouth or some such with a hornet on the label iirc was a staple (together with the full size fridge notre dame painted keggerator) at the "magnum mansion" what we called our house in grad school. (Mid 90's)
We used to get it in West Lebanon NH first drive through liquor store i ever saw. Murica!
Game update: just logged in still running on xbox

i think the next step in the foot game is exiting your ship in space. thrusting around to fix it by hand or more importantly, jet over to some salvage. it would require the least amount of work since we already know how the environment performs and looks.

I'd just employ noobs like limpets, kick them out the airlock and point using the handy emote.
could you imagine mining by hand using a special mining skimmer type vehicle. it would be unlimited per rock, but it would be a bit slower compared to laser mining... and there would be gas eruptions periodically that you have to dodge indicated by a bit of shaking and color change ... stuff like that but you can achieve higher frequency of a given type using your skimmer as a localized detector. the signals of all types of things you can mine would show at different magnitudes to show quality of vein.

gas eruptions can injure or kill you. and the mining skimmer can over heat and become less efficient until it cools, so you have to synth heatsinks or mine in the shadow of the planetary body or in ice rings.

meanwhile your ship would be using limpets to collect what you are mining.

throw in some pirates if near the bubble. now we'd be getting into some decent mining.

maybe eliminate mining lasers... because they're stupid and don't make sense and only existed because mining skimmers and foot travel weren't possible.

edit: i forgot, everyone doesn't have Odyssey and this would require foot travel. so we can't get rid of mining lasers.

instead, how about mining skimmers only work on significantly larger roids. so generally in roid clusters. we get rid of the lower mining rate. keep everything else i mentioned and reduce overheating such that it is temporary to a given vein for 120 seconds. most roids will have many veins. you can mine a vein longer using heatsinks though.

I want a caged canary. Dies upon gas encounter. Can be replaced for, say, 100 Arx.

I still like the idea of having humans as expendable limpets, mainly to make outlets like Polygon explode in rage.
