Not really. Well, honestly, I haven't actually been properly drunk in a very VERY long time. So I don't really know...
now that is an idea, I never thought about combining brie or camembert with bacon - I like brie with some jelly or jam. something not too sweet, like cranberries - well bavarian sweet mustard is good as well, but then again, sweet mustard is something I use quite often in cooking - fortunately enough there is an importer who can deliver it here - in the big package of course, I need lots of it - the original Munich Weisswurst-mustard from Develey, hm Händlmayr is quite decent as well.
Btw I tried the irish punjana tea, like suggested here - I guess I lack the ability to really taste these fine differences - to me the breakfast tea is much like pg tips or twinnings - I guess that speaks for the quality of irish tea blends or against my lack of britishness.

I understand that quite well, pubs are different nowadays - or maybe we have changed and don't enjoy the same things as before anymore - I still like to have a couple of pints and chat with pretty much anyone I come across in a pub, but people are less likely to engage in a chat with someone they don't know (yet) and are too often distracted (not to say enslaved) by their handheld devices - this has changed the whole atmosphere of a pub imo.
