To Solo Play Players: If You Could Disable PVP, Would You Play in Open Play Mode Instead?

If you want to roleplay, use private group to secure that type of environment.

Do not expect total strangers to play along. They owe you nothing bar the expectation to not outright cheat.

There is a very simple solution that is available to use. If you choose not to use it, you are responsible for the consequences it brings upon yourself, in this case being interrupted roleplaying.
Basically I handle this by blocking. That is fine tool, and even better it wrecks gankers instancing.

Be my guest.

As I said, yesterday I think? Maybe a few days prior... I might not like it but that tool is there for you to use.

I can't stop you. Criticise? Yes, of course I can. Actively prevent you? No. That is beyond my power and rightfully so.

There is that, I never did sign any contract ;) Not even automatic, click this to agree one. Bought the service with cash from convenience store. And they do not need ability to sell my data to produce working network connection. There are terms of service, but you need to ask specific consent for gdpr stuff.
You know that agreement you have to click "I accept" when you started playing this game? Yeah, that.

Everyone on the internet is these three things: A lawyer, a world leading politician, and a software dev.

lol... your purchase and use is a contract and the acceptance of all the terms therein.

And yes, your provider does need to collect your data so it can provide and maintain the service you bought.
Yes it does. But where I live data protection office's stance is that selling or handing to others my data needs separate concent. I happen to know cause I'm member of 2000 member registered association (In fact chief of its it-section) and we had little chat about how to handle personal data with our lawyer.

Question was about contract with ISP :) And for that I surely know that I have not concented them to sell anything covered by GDPR.

Well that way I eventually get nearest to something like Open-PVE. It of course wrecks others gameplay, but I do not care that an iota bit more than ganker cares about his targets.

Then it's good to know how incredibly selfish you are.

Sorry, but you straight up admitted to this. Well done.

Consider yourself blocked on this forum as I do not have the time to waste.

No it wouldn't. It would just be a different label on the button you press.
Clearly it would be a welcome change to at least one person and I'm fairly certain that the people currently divided across several Mobius groups appreciate the option. You don't like it, fair enough but don't mistake your opinion as fact.

A menu option labeled PvE would not only attract players currently in Solo and the Mobius groups it would almost certainly draw people that are unaware of the existence of Mobius and are therefore playing in Open.

Oh, it's fact not an opinion. [Open PvE] would be nothing more than a very expensive label change on a button people are already pressing. Nothing else would change for anybody pressing it.

I don't think anybody who wants the broken parts of this game fixed, would seriously welcome such a frivolous use of resources, no matter what they might post these forums.

The disdain you've just demonstrated for the intellectual capacity of fellow members of your community is appalling.
Very expensive? Not likely. Game already knows about who produced damage to whom. Quite likely it would be quite trivial switch to turn off player damage. If the game would not know, that would be entirely different thing.

Your ISP collects thousands of individual pieces of information from you every second. It is not reasonable to legally demand that they ask you for consent on an ongoing basis every single time. You agreed to them providing you with a service which included all of those data transfers, a service which is nothing but data transfers.

They have the consent they need.
There is legal difference between collecting and storing data to run the service, and selling or giving that data to third party. And it is the latter that does need separate consent. Like you know, internal logs and so on.
