To Solo Play Players: If You Could Disable PVP, Would You Play in Open Play Mode Instead?

This has been debunked further up the thread. Nothing being asked for here is trivial, except in its effect on gameplay.
As far as I remember not so, other trolling kind of "find the loophole" stuff is hard, but straight weapons damage is other thing. And for trolls there are simpler ways with dealing them. Get reported enough and get a ban.

In which Mobius are you Brrokk? Because PvE Eurasia is far from full 124xx of 20000)
More important than a lifted cap would be some kind of PvP toggle for PGs,
because as few times as it happens, I'd personally would be fuming if someone blew me up in PG.

Also does anyone have numbers on Fleetcom memberships?
I moved to Eurasia from the original Mobius group when that got too big. It feels emptier, and it's been a nuisance because some of my Mobius friends stayed behind or ended up in different groups.

I've also noted some people saying that they've been thrown out of Mobius for no reason and with no appeal. A proper Open-PvE mode would be a huge improvement.

Has it occurred to you that I might do so, simply because I find it amusing?

It is a game, and finding amusement in it is the entire point.
Of course it's occurred to some of us that you might do that. If you did it to me I'd add you to block; I'd then find more amusement in the improved game experience.

Attack whoever you like, it's all valid gameplay. So is choosing who to play with.

I'm not deciding anything. I'm just describing the outcome.

You can pretend that clicking the button that now has a different label and then playing the exact same game in the exact same way will somehow be a 'worthwhile improvement', but it wont. It will just be pressing a button that now has a different label.
Except it does not. Because certain unwanted element is missing. For good.

OK, let me spell it out once more.

Open-PvE would be better than Mobius because:
  • There would be no group size limit.
  • There wouldn't be fragmentation over several groups - PvE players could all potentially meet in the mode.
  • The mode would be shown on the game launcher so new players would know about it.
  • It would be administered by FD, not an unaccountable group of private players. Anyone could join. Anyone chucked out could appeal to support. (If it was hard-coded this would probably never arise).
This is not just a relabel. Seriously, get off your high horse and stop doubling-down on that obvious falsehood.

Nothing will be missing. It will be the exact same game.

If FDev is somehow convinced to expend the resources necessary to change the [PG] button to [PvE], and then remove all the PvP damage vectors, PvE'ers will install the relevant update click the same button (with a different label), and then play the same game they played the previous day.

No missing elements. No added elements. No edited elements. Literally no difference.
And at that point we have co-op play without possibility of somebody coming in to troll up. Say like distant worlds, but no distant ganks.

Its unfair that solo players can build there credits rank without the same challenges as open players. Also pirates hide out in solo. There should just be everyone in open.

Just keep repeating why ganking is a legitimate gameplay. That does not bring one single player to open.
I see nothing has changed in Hotel California since I've been away. Same old narrative, same empty fish barrel.

Why does that not surprise me?

Are people still thinking Sandro is going to come save the day for PvP any minute now, too? Still whinging about the BGS, etc.?

How many years has it been now? :)

Sigh. There aren't "solo players" and "open players". Anyone can play in whatever mode they like for any game session. No-one has an option that another person doesn't. This is the very definition of fairness.

Yeah, I for example choose my mode according to: Do I actually care what happens in my play session
