Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Chris Roberts probably coded the doors himself - nobody dares to touch the code in fear of being sacked for changing a pixel's colour wrong (like RGB 27,144,67 to 28,144,67 or some other atrocity).

Now I need that gif where he's at that computer, looks to the camera watching him do magic, and he clicks the one key then enter. Voila, doors coded.

It seems someone already has, since from the looks of it they started the entire meshing thing from scratch in 2020. Looking forward to the second decade of technological marvels.

To be funny, I was going to suggest to CR to just start over. He beat me to it.

They're saying that they stayed in the 3.15 codebase which is the most stable they've had in years, not added any more features that could introduce bugs. So they do expect the stability as it's really 3.15.2

I can imagine someone at CIG saying "Don't touch the code! Its the most stable its been in ages!"

"What can we do then?"

"Scrap all the other items on the patch, add a hospital, release a new JPG, update an Arena Commander map, backers will celebrate anyway"

To the surprise of absoloutely nobody...
