I particularly enjoyed this one:

Is it odd that this gave me a slight sensation of vertigo?

Seems reasonable.

Worst case i had was standing on top of Mam Tor. Do you know it?

On the top, near the sheer side, looking down. You often see goats munching away on a tiny patch of grass half way up and you think "Dude, there is grass all over the place here. Why, just why did you decide you needed to eat that patch of grass half way up the vertical cliff face?"

Ohh the Cutlass Black, definitely a popular one amongst "Refugees", no doubt about that.
Drew showed his fondness of "her" alright:
Also The Pilot did one his masterpiece reviews with a lot of sass:
As for Kate, ongoing shenanigans in the PVP druggie outposts:
This was the kind of the total war out I was expecting from Odyssey but unfortunately ground combat went for a more constricted and arcade direction.

Today's blast from the past:

Chris decries devs having their heads turned by other games (2015)

'But I saw this other game doing this, maybe we should have that feature?' And that's the sort of noise that hurts, I think, a game. So being true to yourself is really really important.

Once, a source says, Chris came to work after playing The Order: 1886. Impressed by the highly detailed art, he asked CIG’s character artists to match that standard. The team, my sources told me, saw this as impossible. “That's fine for a single-player game where you're able to control stuff and stream things in a certain way,” one source explained. “You do not expect that for any kind of MMO or open world. But that's common knowledge for anyone that's worked in games.”

The second example I was given was from a time when Roberts came back from seeing another in-development CryEngine game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He had been deeply impressed by the character inventory and outfits system, which involved multiple layers of clothing where each item has different properties, from its material to its weight and shape, that affect how it animates. Chris wanted it for Star Citizen.

Jump Town 2 is the first event to give a real usage to Combined arm for an ingame objective. And for what I've seen, ground defenses can be pretty effective against air attacks.

You know, thinking about what you describe, this could be the way for CIG to go in order to make something releasable. Make the main point of the game event based, with other stuff that they have managed to do just the filler content between events.

Could be more or less like ToW just on a bit bigger scale and kind of optional, but have it so the real money is there. A bit like business battles in GTA, with players fighting over limited resources, winner takes all.

That way they only need 1 system at a time.

In a few years, they can pull a Fortnite and release a new map, erm, i mean system. And then spend a couple of years running events in Pyro. Rinse and repeat.

This gives them time to make new systems and they don't have to solve the whole server meshing thing. Just go with 1 system at a time, 50 player limit on servers. Seems to be enough for backers to enjoy themselves. More fun playing SC than any other game in their lives already according to some!

There could even be an overarching story that slowly unfolds as they move commandos from one system to another. Perhaps in 20 or 30 years finally making it to the alien systems for some mega showdown with the Xenu or whatever they are called.

How's Sandra?

We have Schwindel (dizzy, can also get that from getting totally boozed up e.g.) and Höhenangst (you don't always get dizzy when the fear creeps up your throat and chokes you. if you get dizzy on top that is very bad and can lead to actually falling). Naturally Höhenangst prevents you from falling by going full paranoia. You can train that away or lessen it.
One of my mates suffered from extreme vertigo all his life...he had over 2,000 HALO and HAHO jumps from aircraft under his belt but couldn't go up a step ladder without barfing and going dizzy...very strange
