Your most wanted animal (2022 edition)

My number one most-wanted animal remains the yellow throated marten. Colourful, active, agile both on the ground and in the trees and kept in a fair number of European zoos. I cannot think of an animal I would rather have.

Hard to pick just one, considering we'll be getting at least sixteen, probably twenty-four in total (twenty-eight including exhibit animals). I'm hoping and advocating for a rainforest-theme that will give us both the Asian small-clawed otter and the capybara, and I really want an Oceania Animal Pack.

If I'm picking just one animal that I want this year then it's the North Island brown kiwi. Is it likely? I don't know, but it's gained a lot of traction as a popular choice since November 2019. If you'd asked me back then, I wouldn't bother mentioning it, but these days it seems more possible.

I hardly hear anyone talk about the Prezwalski's Wild Horse. They're absolutely beautiful animals and have been my most wanted animal since the game was announced!

Two toed sloth. My favourite is the three toed one, but It is very difficult to keep un captivity. It need special mechanics, but I think Frontier could do it well. Aquatic animals are more difficult!View attachment 289929

These two animals are very close second and third to my choice of Amur leopard. In fact if these three animals were the only ones to be added to the game now then I think I could live with it lol 🤣. There are loads of other species I would like, these are just my top three that I would be disappointed if we don't get 😁. (However I expect that we might be disappointed with the sloth 😭😭😭)

Maybe... but I keep the faith😉😉

Tough to narrow it down to just one. If I had to pick I’d go with a manatee. Doesn’t matter to me what species, they all have merit. Fully aquatic species is something I hope we see in the future and a manatee seems to be the most likely first option.

(Here’s a group of West Indian Manatees at Columbus Zoo, truly gentle giants)
