-Is it possible to survive in these CZs if you're flying an unengineered ship?
-If it's possible to survive, is it possible to kill anything in these CZs with an unengineered ship?
-If it helps answer the above, my combat rank is around the "harmless" level.

Basically, I want to know if I should bother throwing some modules and weapons on my un-engineered Krait Mk2 to go hunt Darkwater
OR
Whether I should I just stick to hauling goods for the Phase 4 CG

Last time I stepped into a CZ was for a mission. I naively popped in with my unengineered Cobra with 2 Burst Lasers + 2 MCs, picked the correct side, started shooting the first bad guy, and promptly died. I think I actually went from full hull and shields to 5% hull and no shields in about 3 seconds. So, I'm not wasting time or credits screwing around with CZs if that's going to be the result.

Space CZs are higher-level PvE combat. Is it possible with a small unengineered ship? Yes, if you're very good. But especially DPS-wise, I wouldn't bother without at least an engineered medium.

Summary
System: Summerland
Station: Henry O'Hare's Hangar (Coriolis Starport, large pads available, 599 Ls from main star, 124.55 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Combat Bonds after fighting for Summerland Patron’s Party against Darkwater Inc in Conflict Zones
Time limit: 24th February 3308 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Darkwater Inc in the Summerland system has been declared a hostile military target for its role in abducting Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval.
The private military firm, led by Colonel Ronan Brock, was secretly hired by the Lords of Restoration to train and equip the NMLA. Darkwater troops also kept the Emperor imprisoned in a concealed bunker for over a year.
Once their involvement was revealed by ACT, Darkwater’s forces regrouped around the megaship Pearl Mandate. Colonel Brock led an attempt to gain control of Summerland as a defensive measure but was unsuccessful. The mercenaries have now been branded as wanted criminals by the system authorities.
The order to strike against Darkwater came directly from Emperor Arissa:

The Summerland Patron’s Party will redeem combat bonds for destroyed Darkwater ships at the starport Henry O’Hare’s Hangar. Although the Summerland system is typically permit locked, the Empire has arranged a total exemption for independent pilots for a three-week period.
To guarantee that Darkwater is thoroughly eliminated, the Empire is offering a range of incentives to pilots.
Should the initiative be successful, various discounts will be made available at Henry O'Hare's Hangar.
  • Tier 1 - 10% permanent discount on Imperial ships only
  • Tier 2 - 15% temporary discount on Imperial ships & the Imperial Hammer module
  • Tier 3 - 20% temporary discount on Imperial ships & the Imperial Hammer module
  • Tier 4 - 25% temporary discount on Imperial ships & the Imperial Hammer module
  • Tier 5 - 30% temporary discount on Imperial ships & the Imperial Hammer module
The temporary discounts will last until the 11th March 3308.
The top 75% of participants will be elevated to the rank of Master in the Imperial Navy Auxiliary. They will also receive Arissa Lavigny-Duval's Powerplay Decal as an additional thanks.
The top 25% of participants will additionally receive a permanent permit for the Summerland system, as well as a special Empire Combat Zone decal.
The top ten participants will be granted an Imperial Hammer for their service.
The Empire has declared its intention to wipe out the Darkwater Inc faction by the 24th of February 3308.
To be eligible for rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Combat Bonds at Henry O'Hare's Hangar in the Summerland system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these combat bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Henry O'Hare's Hangar is at planet 6, Henry O'Hare's Haven
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Social Space

I'm xbox - so, not got odyssey - I didn't prefarm, and I'm top 25%, and, I've got to sat, the rewards aren't looking too shabby, for a fun CG. Tier 4 is in sight. I'd say just do what you can.
Yep if you got the hours Still stupidly easy to get decals... if you get lucky with Kill multipliers in tranaction tab will be even better...

A single console High space zone...
0 High Conflict zone start transaction multiplier tab values after every kill recorded
202k python kill 70k with multiplier worth 202k
620k Anaconda kill 58k with multiplier of ~7.2 worth over 400K kill.
942k Keep captain alive 50k objective bonus included with this kill...
1.016M
1.201M
1.244M No multiplier for that kill Boo
1.525M
1.705M
1.844M
1.923M
1.964M No multiplier for that kill Boo
2.029M
2.166M
2.230M
2.460M
2.589M
2.685M
2.772M
2.813M
3.014M
3.071M
High CZ ended...
3.147M Ship did not jump after battle extra free kill...
Average kill value 3.147/22 kills=142,727 per kill... but did not get multiplier per every kill
reference video... Low ammo use with lasers build...

How are the values worked out?
I have 183 kills for approx 14.5m (80k per kill) at that rate to compete with the top contributor i would need over 12k kills which seems pretty ridiculous, how are they getting to 1bn plus in payouts, even with pre farming that seems a crazy amount.

"Additionally, a permanent 10% discount on Imperial ships will be available at Henry O'Hare's Hangar, with temporary additional discounts possible depnding on which Tier is reached."

I wonder: will all imperial ships be available at O'Hare's while the discounts last, or only those normally available?

Right now the only imperial ships available at O'Hare's are the Clipper and the Courier.

If only those two will be available for discount, I definitely think this CG is SO not worth the effort.

PSA If your sitting on your buttocks thinking Ill have time next week to get some kills to get the decals..
That might be the wrong idea...
As normal the hand in on thursday and friday was peanuts... Saturdays hand ins are in the nuts levels... If sundays hand ins are the same this will complete way early not just tier 5 but all the way to tier 6...

Which is a shame, because I can't make the top 25% without the CG continuing through Monday.

Don't you think it's ironic that the decal depicts a space ship but you probably earned it with ground combat?

They are likely in a wing? So the bonds stack as each wing-man kills a separate target...all the wing-men get some and/or the greater fire power of the wing means way more kills per hour

EDO gets 10 Millions+ in ground combat in under 10 mins...
EDH wont get that...
1 Billion only in EDO wont take very long..

Thanks for confirming how it works. I prefarmed for a couple of days (in EDO) and had 27m cr when the CG officially started.

When I noticed 1st place immediately had 600m, I wondered about both of the above and gave up. Years ago I came second in a combat CG flying a Vulture!

If this CG ends very early, and Darkwater is still in existence and fighting the war, I'm tempted to continue the fight but this time for their side, just so that they're no longer Hostile to me. 🙃
