Most likely because it's not an inGen animal and there's no design for a fully grown one.
I for one am glad that horrid monstrosity isn't in it. I probably wouldn't buy the DLC if it was featured in it.
Isn't it weird there has not been an official announcement for the new DLC/update under the NEWS sections here on the forum?
That wouldn't be a really smart move would it? Because you'd always get it and, gee, I don't know, NOT use it?
That’s not really a good argument though, we have skins based on Pierce the Kentrosaurus and Big Eatie the T. rex and yet both of them were Mantah Corp assets. To further add on to this point, with the Dominion update/DLC all but officially confirmed, this game would gain prehistoric animals and designs that have not been created by InGen but instead by BioSyn and various other companies.
Frontier have also made their own fully grown adult model of Allosaurus more than a year before the franchise’s canonical design appeared in Battle at Big Rock. There’s nothing preventing them (that we know of) from making their own fully grown Sino-Spino.
So there’s still no reason why a canonical dinosaur from the same show as the rest of the DLC's content has been excluded for no reason.
Yeah, it's quite odd that there's no news post about the DLC. This presentation is very different from Frontier's usual pattern, and I wonder if it's one that the devs themselves even wanted...

Not only is it early, but there's been neither an update thread nor a DLC announcement thread made by Frontier themselves. They're also being weirdly quiet about what's being added in the upcoming update.
It's gonna either be very good or a total disaster.
As I understood it, most of the assets were InGen assets that were taken from the original islands. The Spino-sino was definitely a new animal they made themselves. But all the other animals all seemed to be adults. I don't think it makes sense if those were Mantah Corp assets. They would have to have stolen those many years ago if that's the case. Especially since the T. rex and Spinosaurus were the same type of clones as the InGen assets. I think it makes more sense that they stole those from the island after the park went down.
Not sure about the Smilodon though.
And yes, I agree that it's plausible that we'll get BioSyn animals when the film comes out. But the film hasn't come out yet.
I really don't get why BioSyn assets would be permitted, but not those by Mantah Corp.
Because in the game all assets are made by a single company right now. According to the rumours BioSyn makes an appearance in the new film. So if any BioSyn assets get added to the game, I expect there to be a story explanation for it in a campaign mission. And they will most likely want to make use of the momentum of the film to promote the game.
I wouldn't expect any Mantah Corp without a story explanation. And since this upcoming DLC is just a dinosaur pack without any story, it makes perfect sense why they wouldn't include any Mantah Corp assets.
The film will also bring in a much larger audience than Camp Cretaceous does.
I don't think a whole Chaos Theory mission is required just to have Sino-Spino. Just making a brief explanation in the trailer or a forum post would be sufficient.
And to that matter, how does having Scorpios rex make any sense? The only 2 specimens alive were killed and any replication material was destroyed. It would be impossible to recreate that hybrid in a post-FK world.

The adult argument also doesn’t work in this case, because Bumpy grew from tiny hatchling to fully grown adult in less than 4 weeks and it was also established that Pierce the Kentrosaurus and Smilodon were created by Mantah Corp in their own labs on their own island.

Given that this update and DLC launch on the same date I am holding onto the hope we get CC buildings in the JW era: Treetop Camp (alternative to Hotels), Camp Cretaceous gate (this is a big icon from the game) and I am so using it in the entry area, CC six wheeler (I don't want it replacing the Ranger Jeeps but, hey at least put one as part of the CC Treetop Cabins), CC icon (the big JP rex drawing), zip lines, kayaks.
In a Mantah DLC I so want: Spinoceratops, Smilodon, Brads replacing the Ranger Jeeps and MVU, Brad X replacing the Capture teams and Mantah Corp buildings in the JW era tab.

I was hoping the fruitless desires of DLC sequels wouldn't make their way to this board...maybe for camp cretaceous dinosaur pack 2

I have to say , for the first time i will most likely not buy the new DLC (...at least till it comes in special offer ... sometime later ! ).
The reason is that in the CC DLC is ...
1. Not a single one new Pterosaur ! (...because there was non in CC shown , but at least Ramphorhynchus would have been nice !)
2. Not a single one new Marine Reptile or semi aquatic creature !.... (Sarcosuchus... is in the Toyline of camp cretaceous !!! ...and was most likely cut from the last epsode of season 4 !)
3. only 1 new dinosaur !
4. only 1 new hybrid !
5. 10 € for a few new skins ( and variants, which are just a little more individual skins ) and 2 new creatures is a bit much without any NEW Attraction in my opinion !
6. The new content offered by the free update on march the 8. is muuuuuucccchhhh more interesting than the DLC for me to build nicer parks in Sandbox !!!
