But yeah, if you're talking about a game for years over 12 discussion threads, the latest one amassing over 2.3k pages, it's only natural for things to get stale, or as I say it:

In the meantime Egosoft surprised us with 3 DLC for X4. Which is heading for end of shelf life steadily but we might see some Boron before that. The wet fart development at "Cloud Imperium" will witness a possible successor announcement to X4 I believe. And maybe at some point when the economic crisis intensifies and the silly money isn't as abundant anymore the idiotic episode of widespread moronity ends like a weak, wrinkly balloon ends.
Can't wait for this to happen, surely, if you predict something over a decade time and time again it has to be right at some point. Call me Nostradamus, but: Cloud Imperium Games will go bankrupt sometime within the next 100 years!

I do not know man. CIG solid decade long track record suggest this new iteration will be of little actual use aswell. In the meantime even within a singular quarter it helps CIG maintain the illusion of a potential delivery, and therefore help keeps backers funding, which is huge
Assuming it actually reflects delivery it would have been great to have it 10+ years ago. But after 10+ years and 450 millions wasted I think it is high time CIG acknowledged they are simply incapable of releasing what they have pre sold, stop soliciting good money after bad, and close shop. CIG have already broken a ton of promises. No need to stop developing to show that. What would be nice is they stop asking for money.

I'm not a professional finance guy by any means but uh, I think this may be, well, just a tiny wee bit difficult when you're a crowdfunded company.
