If you are being prevented from typing some variant spelling of a swear word or obscenity such as or , that must be down to you I have no problem typing them. Obviously the software rightly censored them so they never leave the draft of the post to reach the forum but I could and did type them.
The swear filter is quite powerful on this site and though it might let you type actual curses or false positives, it's rather annoying and quite sneaky in that if something triggers it, even a false positive just as the particular word I referred to, instead of warning you that it thinks or knows a particular word is a curse or otherwise offensive, it simply deletes the word, even the space it took up, so it can be hard to see it's done anything unless you carefully proofread your posts...
Long story short, the word I'm referring to is wrongly censored....
edit - actual frickin' is allowed, which I seemingly typed last night, yet typing two "gg's" in between the two "i's" instead as I accidentally typed just now without thinking did trigger it!
I never realised there was a difference before.
(To me these are two false positives, but anyway it is what it is and as said the swear filter here in o.p.

.
All I want it to do is warn us when it is being triggered and we can use alternate "safer" words, to be clear I'm not advocating swearing, more so legitimate and correct use of the filter

.)
As I alluded to, the swear filter isn't always right, maybe only 90% of the time and many are prone to the "Scunthorpe" problem, if you know what it is

.
Anyway, getting back on topic...
I'm hoping Frontier either says, "sorry everybody, this early April Fools joke has gone on long enough!" and they restart console development.
Or maybe more realistically, this short "change of focus" was enough for them to optimise Odyssey and or they realise how big a mistake that they made and either restart console development with their existing staff or hire more people
