Flying in an open world exposes the commander to additional risk.
Suggestion:
If you take a mission in the open game and do not switch to another mode before the mission is completed, the commander gets double the reward.

Flying in solo induce a series of penalties compared with multiplayer (PG/Open)

If anything, Solo should get some more bonuses

.... and, for those so inclined, the block list gets longer, and longer, and longer....

The multiplication factor seems to be way off too - given that almost all systems in Open have just as many other players in them as in Solo, i.e. none.

Then there's the fact, from recent Inara stats, that over 90% of players don't get involved in PvP.

On the face of it, this seems to be just another "penalise those players who won't present themselves as targets in Open" proposal.

CGNAT, Firewall, Blocking make the purpose of this "reward" obsolete.

I would recommend dead horse No One OP. Its a very good vintage.

Would the OP like to see the stick menu?

Being in a wing already magically multiplies bounties, bonds, combat merits and even lets you progress simultaneous wing missions with the same kills/cargo. How much more of an advantage versus solo players do you need?

Why does the game have a restriction on single flights in the open game?

What does the single player get in open play except increased risk relative to playing with allies?
The frisson of playing among other players who may attack at any time - which is optional, as other players are optional in this game. Those who don't enjoy PvP, or even the possibility of PvP, don't need to play in Open to affect mode shared game features.

Incentives to encourage peeps out of solo would be handy granted all the peeps hell bent on PKing for no reason... Console player numbers of those who play in open is already dropping further and further it be nice to see some new faces. Wing up and pew npcs or players in PvP

Yes I know you can do this in PG.
