I started in Dec 2014 at Trevithick. Took me two weeks to advance from sidewinder to eagle to hauler and get brave enough to venture forth to find a home system that was 107 LY away.

I purchased the LEP in early 2015 and also started in Trevithick Dock. Within a month I ended up purchasing an Oculus Rift DK2 from the US just to play this game.

Ah the memories... Started off in LHS 3447 after the launch of NMS turned out as a disaster (why am I getting this sense of déjà vu now). Horizons had already launched by then but I wanted to experience the base game first, so for a couple of months I worked up to a ASPX the old fashioned way, along with lots of trial and even more error.

Still coming back to Trevithick Dock every now and then when I get lazy and take a Suicidewinder back from Colonia, but these days with the luxury of a pair of taxi Phantoms parked next door. And as to that whole getting old thing:

I think you started there if you opted for no rover, and Asselus Prime if you opted for the rover, in those days.
