The differences are subtle but there are variations. If you look in the genetics of your animals, you'll see there are 3 different colors.
Really a Shame then that they chose such subtle Variations for a Animal that can look so different

I agree with you that the differences are very subtle right now. I personnaly don't mind though. But that's probably because I'm not a big fan of primates so I don't care that much about them.

Rainforest theme but without Capybara. The forum breaks in half with frustration. We get 8 different gibbon species and nobody buys the pack.
But yeah, just over two hours until the stream. I won't be able to watch live but it'll be great to follow the posted information. This is so exciting!
Japanese Macaques in real life look very similar. They can have some different facial features, but other than that they tend to look pretty much the same.

On the other hand, they haven't follow the pattern of announcing and teasing a new update and dlc at all this time. Normally the update was announced and then one day later the dlc, normally in the middle of the week. This time update annoucement was on a Friday and the DLC announcement will probably be tomorrow (or even later this week). So maybe they are teasing one animal today, maybe even more than one but maybe nothing. I wouldn't be too sure about a teaser today.
But I don't want to ruin everybody's anticipation for the stream.

Wouldn't bet on an outright announcement but would bet on a de facto wink-nudge, like the beaver drawing or the Lumi storybook. They clearly enjoy that stuff.
