Which animal would you choose to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Planet Zoo?

Knowing that for the second anniversary of the game they have added a free animal, and assuming that they do the same again this year, which animal would you choose to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Planet Zoo?

For me it is a difficult decision, since there are many animals that I would like to see in the game. I am hesitating between 3, but I guess I would decide for

I'd personally go with a dromedary. They've been an animal of some confused history in PZ, mainly due to decorations having them when the species itself is nowhere to be found. They're also quite popular on the meta wishlist. I think they'd be an easy freebie especially because our Bactrian camel already has a dromedary head.

A bear. It's been a long time since we got one and the remaining bears should be "easy to make". Eurasian brown or American black would be nice. Andean too. Sloth probably would require more work for the fur, and we already have several Asian bears, so it's the one I want less.

However, I don't expect a second free anniversary animal. It would be nice even if it was a paid standalone animal.

I don't expect to get anything but people have speculated the dromedary and American black bear enough that I'm also on board with these being two of the best potential choices, with the dromedary being the more likely of the two.

Or they could keep spoiling us with anniversary lemurs and give us the crowned lemur, I'd be more than fine with that.

There’s no guarantee we’ll gat one (apparently PlanCo only got 1) but, if we do, it’d likely be a reskin or only a very minor remodel (as with the lemur). I’d most like a new Australian animal (Red-necked wallaby might be close enough to Red Kangaroo or, maybe an Australian crane. Even wombat could be based on badger). However, I’d probably expect something that’s a reskin of a base game animal that’s not too highly requested… red river hog would be a good choice.

I have a feeling that wallaby, wombat and also the red river hog are still to different from existing species and the later 2 are also to popular for a present animal. In case of a kangaroo the grey kangaroo could be a choice.

In general i doubt they would use a dlc animal as the base, as for anyone who doesnt have the australia pack for example now has free access to a kangaroo, making them less likly to buy the pack.
Overall my gut feeling would be either new models that are requested, the dromedary for the memes, american blackbear or a third brownbear, or a monkey, with my guesses being the rhesus maqcaque and the drill.
All these animals are somewhat requested and can be made more or less easily from a basegame animal, with out stepping on any dlcs toes

That is a good point and I must say the Drill would be a nice pick which I have not thought of before. It would be a nice contrast to have both, the colourful Mandrill and the more or less black and white Drill.

Dromedary would be really nice IMO since we have all those decorations in the game. And it should not be too complicated to adjust the Bactrian camel model. But Frontier could also use the dromedary to headline a desert pack...

I think another good option would be another bear. I would personnaly hope for the American Black Bear. Maybe also the emu?

I think the Emu is not that close compared to all our actual ratites that it is an easy to make animal. And it is also one of the most popular animals. Top 5 in wish list which could even be a headline species. Dromedary would be a cool solution but as you said I have that feeling that it is perfect as Headliner of a desert pack. American black bear would be a great stuff. It allows the Integration of another bear (for the bear completion fraction) without using a slot. And it should be a easy one changing the formosan black bear a bit.

Edit: But somehow I now am very passionate for KönigderKaffebohnens idea with the Drill 😀

Although I don't think it's especially likely that another free animal will come, I think my top choice would be the wisent. Europe's biggest animal, with an interesting history of captive breeding but also incredibly similar to the American bison.

There are a few ungulates that would be fairly easy to reskin - the Arabian oryx could come from a gesmbok easily enough and the roan antelope could possibly be made from the sable as well.

I would also personally like to see the Sumatran orangutan, which is sufficiently different in appearance from the Bornean to warrant consideration and is not that uncommon in zoos. Because they are more arboreal than Borneans, it could also be an opportunity to alter the climbing and ground movement and make a more realistic-looking orangutan.

The Drill is a very interesting idea.
