Need a FC? Do this:

You can make enough funds to buy and maintain a carrier in this CG.

I feel sorry for the commanders that started playing one month ago and now are the verge of having enough money to not care about it anymore.

You lose so much doing this.

Instant gratification is today's games evil.
For myself I agree with you, but I think there are players who like to get a game, "complete" it and move on to another one in a few weeks or months.

At least the remainder of the content isn't buyable just with credits. All it may have done is opened a few new opportunities to play, sans 'grind'...
I'd guess that those 'new commanders' are not feeling too sorry, if they have been able to join in.

Of course they are not sorry. They just don't know many many things, how could they? :)

When I played elite (on ZX spectrum) I never got rich but I did hit elite. Even then or at least when I neared elite I was concerned if I lost a lot of equipment in a big fight would I have enough credits to just replace it all. Played on your mind and added to the game play…..

It’s been a few years since I’ve worried about credits in ED for normal gameplay but my FC has always been pretty much a Fleet Carrier with zero services, now I can - if I want - enable them without a care.

Maybe that's the intent? FDev heard someone lament about FCs without services, so they decided to make everyone so rich that we leave all services enabled. :D

Money is a small aspect of the game. You're still gonna have to grind for Engineers, Fed Vette/Cutter, and other ranks. I get the economy sucks. I've exploited this tritium thing the last 24hrs just simply for my PC alt. But I still have ton to do with both accounts really. So if your end game is buying all ships, congrats on spending 40 bucks or whatever a months worth of game play after the exploit

Can I just say, this is the first CG i have taken part in, but more than that It has been a new and very funny experience seeing the chats between "nOm", "Kevin Bananna" & "Star noob" :ROFLMAO: They have kept me entertained while hauling back and forth

They will learn those things the same way you and me did, or from a youtube 'grind advisor', but at least won't be playing for a month to make their first million credits.

I don't feel sorry for them, quite the opposite, if they have plenty of credits they can learn to play, make expensive mistakes, and not be flying without rebuy, all good!

I wish it'd hurry up and finish, so I won't be tempted to haul any more.

I started a new CMDR for Odyssey and had amassed Cr500m (along with 3 or 4 "normal" ships and a T10 for mining and an Annie for Robigo) in a year.
On Thursday I spent Cr200m on a T9 and earned Cr5bn, bought an FC on Friday night, spent saturday morning loading it with Tritium and then jumped it near to Upankilis and spent most of Saturday night unloading it again.

End result: 43,000t of Tritium hauled, Cr16bn earned (new FC plus Cr11bn in the bank), top 10% of the CG and Elite V trading rank.

I'm actually looking forward to being able to go mining again without the hassle of having to schlepp ore to market in my T10. (y)

Community: Fleet carriers blocking the maps and causing mayhem everywhere you go.

FDEV: Here you go everyone get a fleet carriers in a weekend.

:)

I was lucky enough to have a FC I managed to get around 5bn in cash before feeling too grindy. Was a nice distraction from my new found love of hunting goids.

Hells teeth!!!

I've only done around 20k on 3 accounts, and am just delivering another 7k before calling it 'done'.

My 3rd alt 'borrowed' enough to kit out a t-9 and buy the first 750t of Tritium. Sold it to one of my FCs for a touch over purchase price, then bought it near the CG system for a little extra again (to pay back the loan).

They now have a FC and enough in the 'bank' for around a year upkeep. (and Trade II) So I can play that one to get the rank game done at my leisure. While still having another base of operations for my little squadron. All good!
