Update 12 moved to 7 June

Just out of curiosity, nothing more.

Have you took a 'proper' look around any of the EDO settlements whilst visiting them? There are a lot of details, not particularly relevant to any missions etc., in the settlements that just exist to add 'atmosphere' and serve no purpose at all otherwise.

Have you even looked at the nose of a Courier in EDO?

much more detail added that may never be noticed by those rushing to complete 'the grind'.
Exactly right. no time to stop and smell the roses.

That is absolutely not the case with me. most of my time playing elite has been deliberately slowing my game time down. anything which felt exploity of mechanically weak I ignored even if it was a bit 4th wall breaking . it is why despite playing for over 2000hrs I have yet to get the rank for a cutter or a corvette and less than half the collateral for a carrier.

Not needed, in the least, minor detail, indeed...

Plenty of 'fluff' added to EDO that is probably rarely noticed... Solely because it isn't screaming "look at this!" but rather only adding to ambience.

No, no cutting-edge graphics in EDO, it is true, but much more detail added that may never be noticed by those rushing to complete 'the grind'.
This is an excellent point. Last night, before I logged off, I sat my character at the local station bar to take a screenshot:

The level of detail in the bar area goes way beyond what the gameplay needs. Somebody went to a lot of trouble to make the area as believable as possible. But for the DREADFUL LACK OF ANTI-ALIASING!!!1!!! and no liquor bottles underneath the bar (I need a shot of Drambuie after a hard day out in the black!), I find the detail to be commendable. And this is just one area of Odyssey with such detailing.

Be that as it may, I have my fingers crossed that U12 hits a home run. Over the last two days, I think I put more playtime into Odyssey than I have in quite a while. I don't know what changed with the game or me, but I am finding it a much more enjoyable experience of late.

I'm hoping it fixes the too short landing struts on the Diamondback Scout. I am tired of my SRV getting wedged underneath the bay because the turret doesn't have enough clearance.

Did somebody tinker with the model for the ship?

Hopefully the "next couple of days" means the update is still coming as planned and information on what's in the update, like patch notes, will come a day or so after.

Can Zac or someone confirm if Update 12 is still scheduled for June 7th?

I feel there is a dreadful lack of proper ale on a hand pump.
It's all manky fizzy stuff on some sort of head that doesn't have any pipework leading to it.

well if I cant drink at a bar or even watch npc raise a glass even...…………
I feel it defeats the illusion continuity wise
never one drop of rain on Arrakis or any where else
I just hope db's eyes go blue like in the old movie

Beer engines don't work well in low to zero gravity environments so an alternative delivery system was developed unfortunately it was designed to look like the most ubiquitous delivery systems.
Fizzy drinks are even more problematic in such environments leading to much hilarity and a trend towards stain and water proof clothing.

They will probably just do what they did for the Diamond Back Explorer and when the ship drops an SRV, have the rear struts hovering 3 to 4 feet off the ground to give the SRV clearance.

Then you're doing it wrong.

I've been at it for 317 hours. I have both the Federal Corvette and the Imperial Cutter in my hangar as I type this. It took me just over 7 hours to get to Duke for the Cutter, but it did take me four days (about 11 hours total) to get to Rear Admiral for the Cutter.
