Wake up for the Devs

There are now approximately 5 times as many people playing NMS as there are playing ED on Steam. A year or so ago, it was about the same number on each. They did it by adding more and more interesting and engaging game-play rather than concentrating on daft details that only a small vocal minority want. They're a very small team compared with how many are supposed to have been working on ED, and they're not bloated by countless community managers that do god knows what.

Hooray, it's Tuesday's doooooommmmmmmm thread!

that's good..

and had EDO not gone Kablooey, those numbers would be different.

remember 1 year, = EDO
things were being done..
it just didn't go as intended. It happens.

more importantly
anyone interested in ED is in ED not other attempted space sim games.

So the OP points out obvious and data based issues with ED/O and the initial response from forumites is that the OP is dumb.

Nice.

FDEV is investing their talent into amazing offerings like Lemnis Gate and Jurassic World Evolution 2 and F1 Manager 22 and Chaos Gate.

ED is a 7 year old horse we are lucky it hasn't put out to pasture.

To be fair that's the most excitement these forums get these days. There's only a handful of forumites left, they're nearly extict...so don't spoil what little fun there is to be had.

They love a doom thread, even if it isn't a doom thread, they'll turn it into one...it gives them a chance to bring out all those 'memes' they've been saving.

Also, a pasture would be nice...the glue factory is more realistic.

Obviously NMS is the better game and HG are more talented. I wonder why we still play Elite though?
Maybe we just want Elite to be more like NMS? But wouldn't it be better to ask the more talented devs to make NMS like Elite instead? Clearly HG could fix Elite in a heartbreak!
Or maybe it's just not that simple?

FDEV, simply do what HG does, it's the recipe for success. Trust me, I studied steamcharts.

Ah, but you know what has 40x as many players as Nomunsky?
CS:GO.

So what Frontier should actually do is remove all ship- and SRV-based gameplay, and focus on turning ED into a highly competitive [anti-]terrorism team-based first-person shooter in limited closed-off maps. After that, your beloved Steam charts should go ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“ˆ
