Try switching off auto-rotation. tbh this issue appeared to be fixed a week or so ago for me (landing on a carrier at least). Not tried yet post patch 12.
I haven't noticed the carrier issue but then I think I have only docked on one once this year, in a station things aren't too bad for me but then I don't leave the DC/ADC on its own so can always intervene. But the drifting out the sky was a bit of a pain when I was bio hunting in my Phantom.
 
I guess missing/misaligned placeholder dots and bodies not being drawn until you get close is still a thing.
 
Still has issues on AMD RX 6000 series cards when using the 22.5.2 drivers.

However, using the same workaround and settings I was with U11, performance seems to be up a solid 5-10%.
 
You can hide the on-foot HUD with the same keys you use to hide the HUD in your ship: CTRL + ALT + G. Be advised: outside of stations default G key will make you throw a grenade.
I don't want to hide the HUD, I want the new area not to be ugly and out of place with the existing HUD.

Anyone come across the new illegal settlement defense mission?
Post of what the mission is called and the screenshot of the icon is very much appreciated.
 
It's tempting to look at it this way, but there is also the possibility that the more major fixes are still being worked on by the same dev folks that exist in a Schrödinger realm until they deliver something we can observe.
I'll could believe that if FDev doesn't announce any new games for a while longer to focus more on EDO. Otherwise I don't think it's realistic to expect the patches to get bigger and more substantial in terms of fixes -- especially as that was not hinted at anywhere in official channels.

I hope I'm wrong here.

I see a slight improvement in Coriolis stations, but outposts and settlements seem to be the roughly the same.
 
Game locks up when I try to switch ships on my carrier. I have to task kill. Anyone else?
Yes, the controls freeze (both through the station menu and on-foot at Inter Astra), but I can still (sometimes) go back to the main menu with ESC or ALT + F4. But look on the bright side, at least we found the bug of note for this update.
