Oh my this is dificult. There are so many species, as people have said, that I think would add to the completness of the game. However, if we're playing favourites and not thinking about the game as a whole but voting in favour of personal appeal (which for me is usually rooted in novelty)...
I've decided to leave out the Tasmanian Devil and Emu purely because I still feel they have a great chance based on current outcry and the Manatee simply because of the work I sense it might require. I'd have voted for a Tree Kangaroo too, however I remain concerned we may not get a Porcupine which I feel is more essential for me just based on my own zoo memories. An arborial one feels somehow like it contributes in a simialr way at least! I can see the apppeal in a number of the more representative and achievable picks people have chosen too, like the Red River Hog and Secratary Bird, but I can't resist lending these four my voice as I know I'd be more excited to see them.
- Shoebill Stork (I don't think this would count as avain if we have the Flamingo? Correct me if I'm wrong!)
- Three Toed Sloth (Though any Sp. would tick the box for me)
- Andean Porcupine (Though I'd be over the moon with any Sp, especially if it can mix with the Giant Anteater)
- North Island Brown Kiwi
