AR-50 mod question

I'm "building" an AR-50 for stealth pew-pew so applying the relevant mods for that. However, would you go stability and higher accuracy? Or some other two modifications?

AR-50 is a good weapon, but i wouldn't use it for anything stealth related, for reasons
You need to fire it alot to kill someone so there goes the stealth, it's a heavy weapon and will slow you down unless you have Combat movement speed on your Suit

Anyway, Higher Accuracy is needed when you fire it from the hip, which you'll not really want to do.
So, stability all the way

(everything stealth for me is happening around the Audio Masked Executioner and Silenced Tormentor, while fer-the-lulz i also have an Audio Masked L-6)
 
Stability is a must since you usually need multiple to shorts to kill and it lowers recoil a lot. Higher (hip fire) accuracy isn't really necessary when you have stability and there's better uses for that mod slot.

I do have a couple of weapons designed for stealth - executioner and intimidator. I also have a pre-upgraded P-15 with noise suppressor. Hmm. I'll rethink the purpose of the AR-50 then - I hven't applied anything to it yet.

It works like charm. Guards are unshielded if not alarmed, and this weapon can make very short work with them, even if there is few next to each other. Also, silenced sound is nice.
Nice. I may try that as I have all the mats needed!

Oops, no I won't - don't have the engi unlocked for headshot... :(

I strongly suggest to unlock headshot dmg, its one of best mods to put into kinetic weapons, as its only one that boosts dmg itself. G5 is already plently strong without it, but that mod takes it into another level.

Try find AR-50 with headshot dmg mod installed, but given the time required to find it, a litte luck might be needed. Still, given that colonia can be reached within few hours, that might be viable option after giving up on search.

You can also leave last slot free for that mod as well, once you got 3 others, and put Headdmg mod once you unlock uma laszlo. Again, at G5, a burst into head, still should make it good stealth weapon, provided 3 other mod would be already present.
 
i think I'll save the mod slots until I can unlock the engi then. I have enough G5'd stuff to be going on with.

Tormentor & P-15 are better for stealth killing because they have higher damage per shot. You want to kill your target fast before they can activate their shields and sound the alarm.
Personally, I find the Karma C-44 to be the better kinetic weapon (higher damage per shot, faster fire rate, bigger magazine but slightly shorter range) than the AR-50, but both are good.

If you are looking for a stealth kill weapon to kill somebody before they can alert others/sound the alarm, I would recommend engineering a Tormentor as your side arm (noise suppression and audio masking).

I've only engineered my AR-50s, C-44, and TK Apehelion with audio masking. This can still be very effective, even in CZs. The enemy seems to have a hard time figuring out where they're being shot from and will take longer to find you and return fire. It also cuts down on the amount of their friends that realize you've opened fire and return fire on you. Yes, silenced weapons are still very useful even in a non-stealth combat situation.
