Free Lavian Brandy all night.

Lol I would prefer lavian lager ;).

Free booze would be nice but unless you know otherwise I would not hold your breath. ( if ever there was a time I wanted to be wrong this would be it ;))

Nowt wrong with mullets. In one of the longest bets ever I grew one almost ten Years ago. In what must be a coincidence that was my worst ever barren patch on the lady front.

I'm not sure, but expect £3 a pint.
:D...dream on.
I'm from the North East.
Back in 1993 a pint up north was anywhere from £1.20 - £1.70...I went down for a uni interview to oxford/Cambridge...Wow! £2.95 / pint!!!!
20 years later I can still get a pint cheaper in the north east at todays prices compared to 1994 prices of down south!
It was £3 / pint 20 years ago...probably looking at £4-5 next week.

oO then smuggling some beer into the event becomes an option.

Should work roughly like this:
  • equip yourself with
    • a hot-water bottle (close to your body, filled with cold water at the begining)
    • the best isolated winter clothes you have
    • as much beer as you can carry
    • a kind of sketeboard
  • from a distance away from the entrance:
    • point the skateboard towards the entrance
    • start pushing but stop pushing when you have enough speed to go there
    • throw away the hot-water bottle
    • close all zippers
  • when you are closing in to the entrance check
    • shout out that you have a ticked holding it in front of you
    • roll smoothly past the queue into the event (security will not be aware of you if you've done the steps above right)
  • Enjoy the beer yourself and or make big profit by selling it to others.

Nobody will be turned away for wearing the wrong trousers.

Jeans and a t-shirt is absolutely fine... the dress code isn't too strict TBH.

J&T is fine now? but in the initial post you said SMART Casual, J&T is NOT Smart.

I was going to wear my Elite LAVE T-Shirt, is this OK ?

Local prices rarely top £4 a pint unless you're at a gig or hotel or drinking premium lagers.

Quite cheap then, Mind you, I knew my local bar prices were expensive when I bought a pint of stella at an airport and when the barman said the price I said Wow, that's cheap and he just looked at me in disbelief.

Having stopped drinking out these days due to the cost, I popped into a pub a few months back and had a pint of draft peroni, it was £6

Dark jeans (not ripped or hanging off your ankles) and a plain t-shirt/polo shirt is classed as smart /casual these days.

I plan on wearing jeans and my home brew Elite t-Shirt
