7 oddball species you would like to see in the game

Sea Otter (#45)
Elk (#55)
Gerenuk (#68)
Helmeted Guineafowl (#74)
Southern Rockhopper Penguin (#77)
Bald Uakari (#163)
Klipspringer (#192)
Gerenuk would be such a unique animal to have 🤩

1. Spectacled Bear #32
2. Nine-Banded Armadillo #35
3. Patagonian Mara #47
4. Wild Boar #49
5. Cotton-Top Tamarin #118
6. Western Capercaillie #160
7. Vicuña #181
So many great choices that I couldn’t decide which one I should choose to showcase. This guys would be great ones to have though.
Also Vicuña would be a blessing - I’m so not into llamas.

I would honestly argue that most species above #100 on the meta-wishlist are still reasonably popular, so I'll choose these instead:

  • Nilgai (my most wanted Asian ungulate choice next to the Blackbuck, which is more popular on the wishlist)
  • Southern Pudu (how can you not want these guys?)
  • Yellow-Backed Duiker or Red Forest Duiker
  • Yellow-Throated Marten
  • Kinkajou (they're on #86, but I really want them in the game!)
  • Indian Giant Squirrel (they're too beautiful)
  • Jaguarundi (can't believe how underrated they are on the meta-wishlist)

I'd also really like the Lowland Anoa, the Saddle-Billed Stork and the Siberian Musk Deer (or a muntjac species). The Patagonian Mara would definitely be on my list, but it's actually relatively high on the meta-wishlist already. Also the Père David's Deer!

I know those would make a lot of people happy 🤩

I've also decided to only choose species below #100 on the metawishlist, partly because it helps highlight some more obscure species and partly because it's almost impossible for me to round it down to 7 species otherwise! Even with species below #100 it was quite a challenge, but eventually I decided on this:
  • Perentie (#141) - My all time favourite reptile!
  • Greater Bilby (#163) - Essential species for Australian nocturnal houses, have literally never been to one that lacked a bilby
  • Lowland Anoa (#163) - Sulawesi is awesome and the babirusa needs a pal
  • South African Springhare (#173) - Hoppy bois are always welcome
  • Nene (#216) - Represents an entirely new island chain and is waterfowl, what's not to love?
  • Eastern Quoll (#291) - Probably one of the most high quollity animals out there
  • Javan Mouse-deer (#325) - Smallest of the hoofstock and a great species for nocturnal houses

This smallest cattle species would beautifully complement SEA roster 🙏🏽

I think with so many oddballs added Mara is becoming more and more possible 🙏🏽

That would be wonderful!

Personally I love red deer and other European animals, but I realize that there are many people who would find them not very interesting.

But maras? I honestly think that pretty much everyone would love them. They are small-sized but not tiny, strange looking but very cute, cheap and easy to keep, don't require a ton of space, social and could be used for shared habitats. I think these would be very popular. The kind of animal that nobody knew they needed, so to say.

And so popular in so many zoos 🤩
They would be great in the game.
I remember that you are very much into European species. Are you happy for the red fox and all it’s variants?

Out of my wishlist...

1. Blackbuck (#38)
2. Mantled guereza (#40/41)
3. Golden Snub Nosed Monkey (#75)
4. Black rhino (#43)
5. Greater rhea (#46)
6. Scarlet ibis (#89)
7. Mandarin duck (#114)

I don't think they are oddballs at all (well maybe the GSNM is) lol but oh well they all fall under 30 so...

So many good choices 🤩 honestly love them all. Another African monkey would be a real treat especially that beautiful 🤩

Absolutely! I'm so hyped to see them 🤩 I didn't think they'd add all the variants and thought if we got the red fox we'd only get the standard red coat, so this is a very pleasant surprise! Like wolves, red foxes have a ton of coat color variation. (so... in a future update, please update the wolves Frontier!)

Maybe this update. After all, we don't get the full update notes until the release, which is when they update some animals with the new features (orangutan brachiation? More chorus behavior? More color mutations?)
That would be amazing 🤩 I really count on many new plants 🌴🏝

Oh and let's not forget dingos either :)

And a link to lots of wolf coat variation:
Wolf coat colors
To sum them up:
White, white and grey, silver, yellowish, sandy light brown, brown and black, brown black grey, reddish wolf grey, standard wolf grey, contrasted wolf grey, light grey, black and grey, black.
Only the bold colors are currently in game, sadly. Even though the grey wolf comes in a ton of variation.

1. Little blue penguin (if we can get three foxes why not three penguins? Plus they’re from Oceania!)
2. South Island Takahe (a cute, round, endangered borb from NZ)
3. Aardwolf (another hyenid that’s more unique than the others imo)
4. Southern Ground Hornbill (it’s a bird, that’s enough reason lol)
5. Nene (another bird :> )
6. Helmeted Guineafowl (great bird for mixed exhibits)
7. Greater Bilby (more marsupials would be nice)
