Planet Zoo: Twilight Pack and Update 1.11 Out Now! 🦇

The Thing with the Reporter lets me think about something. Why don't they just let the Guests partially work like the Zoo Inspector/Reporter because the Inspector actually goes to the Animals she needs to see for her Report while the Guests are like ,,oh No, I didn't have enough Time to see the Iguanas" while the Reptile House is next to the Entrance 🤦🏻‍♂️
If they would change them that Way it would probably actually solve the Problem most likely that they always move in such big Masses and some Animals barely get Visitors

Well the problem is barely anyone in real life goes to a zoo to see a few select animals. So the implementation of guests having 'must see' animals and then still visiting the rest of the zoo while their own stats will determine how long for kinda makes sense but it's a mess

A zoo guest is complex much like real life so frontier tried the best way working with the existing system but completely failing at certain points. The way I would love if the guests would be reworked to see all habitat animals in a correct manner not just random animals spread all around making no sense.

Like my most recent irl zoo completion, the order can be seen as:
  • Let's see dall sheep - great that's the entrance animal
  • Let's see the elephants - no no that's all way at the back of the zoo
  • Half way to the elephants - I'm hungry
  • Wants to see grizzly bear - whhhhyyyy that was next to the dall sheep
  • Rinse and repeat until guest is out of money
I would argue making guests see only like 5 animals out of an entire zoo would harm overall profits for those franchise players , how do you make sure the star animals are always in that select group of animals when you have 30 plus habitats

I mean they should watch one of their prefered Animals first and then behave normal. This Way they should hopefully evenly spread through the Zoo instead of almost everyone always being in the same Place

After solving the "big problem" and finaly doing some building stuff (which I really enjoyed), I ran into some other minor issues. For those large exhibit animals, we should totally be able to use the normal education screens, not only the exhibit ones. I used the normal TV-screens here, but they don't have any education boost. And the education speakers, that I have put behind the screens, tell me that the animal is too far away. They work only from within the exhibit. I placed one within the exhibit and turned the volume high, but I cant tell if it actually educates people on the outside.

I think it's another kind of inspector style person just for career mode , I think it was another addition a while back or they finally added it

Ah ok thanks.

Only started appearing in my franchise zoos since the update and wondered if the inspector (who has disappeared) was axed and replaced by a younger model.

So ... I've been having some weird issues in the career mode:

My barrier heights are -100 or so, varies.
When I buy and place down a water treatment plant, the game thinks (and behaves) as if I bought a water temperature item. The image is of a treatment plant.
The tempreture in the biome (which is what, Eastern Europe??) is 102 in the daytime.

Did they do some thing weird and tricksy as a halloween prank or am I having problems?

Please Frontier, add this new roof piece to all the old roof sets. It makes it so easy to build singe 4x4 buildings (like the exhibits or the shops).

It's such a Shame that some really important Pieces only exist in specific Sets. For Example some of the Roof Shapes in the Asia Building Set and there are only two Walls (if I remember correctly) that have Half Arch Pieces which would be really useful for Zoo Entrances and Animal Gates for Buildings that house really huge Animals

After finally having the time to play with the new pack, I am very happy with it. The majority of the pieces aren't even thematic at all. Aside from the mushroom set, the spooky statues and the benches/bins, none of it is so themed it can't actually be used for anything else. I haven't played with the animals yet.

I am enjoying it very much!
