new vegas

O.k. I've not played any Fallout games, but New Vegas is pretty cheap at the moment so I thought I would ask you guys. Is it worth me bothering playing it, if I'm not usually into rpg type games ? Is it good 0-10 score ? Can it be played in many different ways i.e. paths ? Will I get immersed...
