Okay, so tried another mission with an NPC passenger ... I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed, but either I'm missing something really simple, or this type of mission is just bugged and I should just ignore them until they're fixed by the developers. Either way, I'd like some closure on this...

Took a sightseeing adventure mission that was supposed to go through the Ringed Garden World and HIP 111755 Visitor Beacon. Travelled to the Ringed Garden World, following the directions provided, but the visitor beacon was nowhere to be found, though I circumvented the planet in question...
