0 notoriety cant pay off bounty PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Got a notoriety of 1 tonight for killing an npc who was shooting in my direction, i guess he didnt hit me and i didnt finish the scan, because i got a notoriety of 1 for taking him out.

Let the timer run down, checked in the status panel, notoriety 0. Went to another system. Came back later, same thing notoriety 0, IF will not accept payment.

Go to IF will not accept payment of my fine "We cannot be associated with such a high profile individual ..."

So what now? Suicidewinder? Does that still work?

On the bright side, i have learned to spell notoriety.

Ok, reading another thread logging out of the game to desktop and then back in again allows me to pay off the fine.

If 2 hours game time is needed per point and you have to log out of the game and back in to actually pay off your fines, thats just silly. FD, you guys really need to fix this.

Seems to me OP tried to. IF -> interstellar factor.
Anyway, have you tried to jump to another system? I'm not sure, but I think you can't pay off the bounty in the system you commited the crime in.

The IF where i was trying to pay it was in a different system. I guess you have to log out and back in, at least for now.

This will go back onto the fix list after nerfing decent income sources. FD has priorities. And stuff like this ain't it. Or wing mechanics. Or mission boards. Or Faction bugs. Or graphical glitches. Or client loading/keybind issues. Or..
