1.1 Download Speed

Left mine to run overnight (as with all major downloads from FD). Haven't signed in yet, but it was done after ~8 hours sleeping.

I downloaded in 40 minutes yesterday, siting in Canada, put in 3 hours last night and everthing was thumbs up, I did park my Asp and took the T6 for spin, no issues with anyhting even ran into an adder with the T6 only a few 100 of cr damage and I found a sweet trade run to exploit while i dream of my Fer De Lance some where out there waiting for me.

Turning off the autodetect in the LAN settings more than doubled the speed for me. It was still stupidly slow, but not morbidly slow

ED Patch. Can't play for half a week. Every time.

This is after probably 5 hours time thus far. Broken up over two nights so far. Downloading here in Brisbane, Australia. No idea what CDN I'm connected to or anything like that.

This is exactly the same as I get. I've got ~18mb ADSL, which can download massive torrents no time, but not ED.

I can only think the faster connected users are hogging the bandwidth, and the servers are giving slower connections a much lower priority.


Please FD, look into this issue, it's making this game a PITA for me.
