[1.1] Heat Indicator beeps constantly...argh!

Hey all,

Liking v1.1 so far, but one thing is REALLY starting to irritate me and that's the constant beep from the heat meter.

Now, when it beeps louder and more frequently as I get HOT through weapons use, boost etc. that's 100% fine. However, when I'm sat at under 45% hear (most of the time just flying around and docked) I still get a constant irritating beep. I can imagine anyone using headphones is even more irritated than me.

So, are others noticing this constant high-pitch beep every second while your ship is nice and cool? Does it irritate you too? I like the feature, but it really should only kick in say over 75% heat for example.

Other than this niggle, I'm having fun in v1.1 - I'm noticing a lot more NPC interdictions though, just upgraded the weapons on my Type 6 to Turreted Burst lasers which, incidentally, I'd never seen listed before.

Urgh! That bloody beeping! I'm docked while typing this and it's so darn annoying! lol.

So that's what it is!! Yes, it's driving me mad because I can't get rid of it, and yet it doesn't go off when fuel scooping?? Noticed it when sitting in station.

Yep, not got hot myself, other than when initiating SC or Jumping - its beeping then is fine.

Only time it stops is if I go to the "Outfitting" screen.

Got tired of trading last night so switched to my Cobra. Interestingly I get NO constant beeping from the thermal sensor thingy in that - go figure.

So, why would the thermal sensor be different in another ship? I can tell you, it was quite a relief flying the Cobra after the Type 6, though I will be back in the latter this evening no doubt.

I've noticed it's worse in the ASP and the Type-7. Cobra is fine as are a lot of other craft but in the ASP/Type-7 I have to go to outfitting screen at a station just to stop that annoying beep, beep, beep, beep the whole time!!

This isn't a 1.1 issue though, it's been in the game since the beta.

Did not notice beeping sound and was fighting (unwisely near star last night).
But seem to have a sound like moving up and down menus (like you get with objects in nav display). I have no idea where that is coming from.

I think one of the post 1.1 hotfixes did something, as my T6 usually doesn't beep with heat build up now. I usually, as sometimes I still get some quiet beeping. My Cobra never beeped, and still doesn't.
