1.2 Mil cr in 1.5 Hrs Bounty Hunting?!

So in my 3 months of playing E:D I had made a total of 5.5 Million credits bounty hunting... Until last night when I made 1.2 million credits in an hour and a half. I'm thinking maybe they heard our cries and made some changes for 1.2. I went to a resource collection site and there were anacondas, pythons, clippers, and dropships gallore. I couldn't kill them fast enough. I was rocking a Vulture with 2 beam lasers so I never had to go back to refill ammo. That's almost as much money as I make trading in my Type-7, but none of the boring! Did I just get lucky? Was it a fluke? Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I have noticed an increase in capital ships too.

yeah its great, I actually had too many large ships to fight yesterday first time ever, made me wish I was still in the python!

this may sound stupid but what RES point are you all going to (ie large pop areas, low security) because I have only found alot of pirates once yesterday (stupidly did not make note of the system) and today i cant find any :( I know RES point are a good place am i just really unlucky or just looking in the wrong ones?

They are instanced based. Sometimes you'll see only streams of lower tier ships and sometimes you see a stream of higher tier ships. For some reason it's not a blend of the two in my experiences. Large population in metal rich RES might help you.

I just took down an anaconda 10 minutes ago. The empire system was unpopulated.
