I expect we will hear about it tomorrow. Maybe the big reveal will be in the newsletter or an article on a video games website, though. I don't think they'll make the big annoucement they've building up towards in a simple post on the game's forums.

Almost certainly it'll be on something like PC Gamer etc. with same day dev update on here. My gut feeling is we'll not hear until tomorrow.

They should put it in a cargo canister and leave it floating somewhere ' Developer plans' :)

I like this idea :D

Personally, when I get home tonight I will be using the galaxy map, centering it on Sol, and looking for any new constellations that might have appeared. (if they have, they'll probably only spell "ha ha") :)

22nd today, were we not promised a release a month somewhere?

It was said in 3 weeks, 3 weeks ago, the week isnt over yet, afaik.
Edit : And sorry no, this was about 1.3 annoucement, nowhere was it said that we'd have monthly updates or whatever.

since alpha all updates have arrived from 1 to about 2 months after the previous one. It's been 43 days since the last one.
And even if it gets longer than 2 months, no promise was made.

I'd rather they just get it right and make the updates meaningful and as bug free as possible, rather than rush them in order to adhere to some arbitrary timetable.

How do you know they are rushing them? People always say this and there is no evidence of that whatsoever. They set a timetable, as far as i know since launch which is when i became involved with this game, and so far they have stuck to it. End of story.

If there was no beta periods, then they would be rushing it. But there always is, so its a non issue. There will always be some bugs, no matter what. Life goes on.

You do realize that the person you are quoting isn't saying that FD are rushing their releases. He was just answering to people who were saying that FD had committed to releasing one update every month (which they never said as far as I know).

I prefer that they take the time to ensure the release is up to scratch and relatively bug free rather than hold themselves to an arbitrary monthly release schedule. Deadline over detail is what caused the launch fiasco in the first place.
