Beta 6 just launched literally a second ago. There is no release date but I'd bet good money that it isn't today.
I personally expect middle of next week but since no-one knows your guess is as good as mine

Thursday (Based on previous experience) Beta 6 oooooo must go test quick
Wings was Tuesday at 3pm.
No I don't think we've ever had more than 1 hour notice. I expect this is to stop a massive server flood happening and slowing both the download and game servers to the point of stopping.
Edit: Speaking of this is going to be an interesting update since its the first time all the new Mac and Steam users get the update, I wonder if the update servers will cope with everyone downloading...

Really? We normally know prehand before the day that an update is going to happen I thought. If it was to be today I'm sure frontier would have announced it.
Just looking back at the 1.2 updates they've all been pretty much "Update going live as I post this"

Yeah, but they already announced that it would be that day well before hand, We knew it was coming out that day because they already told us. This was just to tell us it was time. Frontier havent done that this time, and the fact they are still updating the beta today would tell me there is zero chance the real update will happen today.

Previous patches, they said that the release is scheduled one week after beta starts. They did it with 1.1, and 1.2. So everyone knew that it would come out 1 week later.
They didn't do this with 1.3, so I would expect at least another week.
Tuesdays are usually patch days
