With all the back and forth travel across the bubble, visiting engineers spread out all over, would seriously like a simple function that already has all underlying parts in palace - just need to surface it in side panel UI.
specifically - a 1-click button to recalculate nav plot with whatever currently targeted destination.
trips to engineers are long enough that recalculating your jumps based on current fuel state would save you time and jumps.
nirmally I only recalculated when going on exploration trips or running long range missions - since it is pretty tedious to constantly open galaxy map after every couple jumps to recalc. In a ship like the asp, it can add 2+ LY after just a couple jumps made so recalculating is worth it, but the tedium is not.
so a 1-click button on left side panel to do exact same function as in galaxy map would be awesome. Just jump, look at left panel, click recalculate and then jump with the new auto plotted nav point
