1 minute not enough notice

Hmmm, there was a BIG 30 minute warning in top left of screen, plus a warning along the bottom of the screen, the same again for 10 minutes, then five, So unless it was flashing full screen in neon yellow, not sure how you missed it 
i got all the warnings from 30, 15, 10, 5, 1 so if as you say you did not get them until the 1 minute warning AND YOU WERE LOGGED IN FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES then by all means lodge a ticket with support...
it does not matter if you dock or not, just logging out and save and exit to menu or save and exit is all you needed to do and its occuring not exactly at the same time every day from my observations but within a 30 minute to 1 hour window then they do their maintenance

Also verify your game files in launcher options, maybe some files went wobbly with an update, you never know.
