10,000 Black holes

According to a recent report in Nature (but more easily read in this article from NPR) there are more than 10,000 black holes in the vicinity of the center of the Milky Way.

When can we expect to see these incorporated into the game?

Are there not already at least 10k black holes in the center? They seem quite common there.

But if you are expecting FD to make sweeping changes to the galaxy at this stage, its not likely to happen. They might make tweaks, especially in local regions, based on new knowlege, but what you might be thinking about is a massive change to the galaxy, effectively a reroll of the galaxy state.

I saw the article on the BBC site. Another interesting point was that there are more than a dozen black holes within 3 Ly of Sgr. A*. I did check against EDDB, and apparently these aren't in-game yet (haven't yet checked in-game, though). There are certainly no shortage of black holes, as I've got my name on many of them from my journeys to the core. :)

Number 10.000 is a joke! 2000ly under or above galactic plane at SagA is full of black holes.Going 8000ly "west" should be "graveyard" with even more BH if im not mistaken.

In their own words:

As many as 20,000 black holes are predicted to settle into the central parsec of the Galaxy as a result of dynamical friction

Have you seen 10k BH within 3.26 LY of SagA*?

This. There are hundreds of thousands near the core already, and millions of neutron stars & other exotic systems.

Whenever I read news articles like this I'm constantly impressed at just how well the stellar forge was implemented. Bugs aside the only significant flaw I see is that the density of stars between spiral arms shouldn't change, only the type (I am no expert). This would make them much more difficult to navigate though, even though the systems would be closer together there would be far fewer scoopables so for the navigational challenge I would prefer the way it currently is to the blunt instrument of fitting massive fuel tanks.

Have you?

There is likely already that many BH's near the core in ED, you won't find that many systems with a primary BH until you get back to the Neutron/BH fields.

Definitely nothing within 3Ly of SagA*

As far as I am aware, FD have not added one single star to the game since launch. They've added planets to stars, and edited star systems to better match the observations (like editing a proc-genned brown dwarf to match TRAPPIST-1) but haven't added any new stars. I think adding stars throws a spanner in the works of the Stellar Forge.
