So there I was. Pleasantly trawling along at 10,600ly out from the bubble picking out neutron stars, discovering ELWs/WWs/terraformables and just exploring my way across a relatively unused section of the galaxy. Was going to Sag A at some point too... maybe. I was just taking my time and enjoying the call of exploration. And then I start seeing posts about Jaques Station being found. Ok. Cool, I had read a little about it but not much. Super awesome for the Commander that ran across it... Wait... I've been traveling in a straight line from the bubble to exactly where Jaques Station has been found... What to do?? I was nowhere near ready to turn back, but I like the fact I was first discoverer on a ton of systems and points along the path. Commanders are going to start migrating along those same paths headed for Jaques and I enjoy my name being tagged to a system as the first discovery. So I reversed course and made best possible speed for Deciat. My AspX had a 31.2ly jump with the plotted courses and I just hammered down. I covered the first 5,600ly in 4 hours last night and the rest this afternoon before getting ready for work for a total of about 6 hours travel time. My time spent running trade routes in a Type-6 came in very handy lol. I forewent my usual zero throttle routine and left it on full for each system jump. I did jump into a couple of binaries, but there was always ample time to steer off and avoid heat buildup. The only part that sucked was passing so many systems with only a honk, I really like exploring and detail scanning. I made 18.9M credits and got first discoverer on at least 500 objects. Turning in all that data at Farseer gave me access to grade 5 mods, so now I'm going to find some materials and upgrade my Asp a bit before heading back into the stars.
