10 year eve online bitter vet here o/ Elite = WOW, making videos!

heya guys, so i've been playing eve for over a decade, and recently discovered the joys of ED. Really enjoying the experience of the game, after playing eve so long it was a big change to be inside the ship and fly it lol although an incredible feeling of scale and general awesomeness.

Anyways, I have been making a few videos for my youtube channel (mainly focused on eve stuff) and ofcorse have added ED to list of content I am producing. I'm totally new to the Elite universe so feel free to correct anything I say/do wrong, its a been a fun learning process so far and I am a pretty bad pilot lol but looking forward to documenting more of my time in game.

Former Eve player here. I still have a little soft spot for the game but not for the combat, which I found uninspiring. Interestingly though, I found the fear of combat and long dangerous runs into null sec space very inspiring.

Glad you decided to climb on-board, you know what they say, change is as good as a rest, and boy, i needed a rest from that game ;) .

Its interesting to find a few fellow Eve Online players in here, Tho as a 9 year Eve vet I find myself only playing Eve skill training online these days and rarely log in to play anymore.

ED is going to be absolutely monstrously huge and I can't wait for more systems to be opened up so we can get out and explore.

I played Eve during pre-release and for short while after. I was there on Armageddon Day. Got bored with it very quickly though.

I played EvE in Beta and also when it launched for about a year. Then got bored and left. Don't regret playing it, but always felt slightly disconnected from my ship.

As far as Joysticks go, I'm using a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X and highly recommend it. I played with Keyboard and mouse in Alpha 1 and found it was pretty reasonable, since then though the joystick makes the game even better.

Keep making the videos and maybe I'll run into you guns blazing ;)

Many of us reformed EVE'rs here.

I played from launch to just after the T3 launch. Lots of fun, but lots of work too. Ultimately too much work after doing actual work all day.

And I hated blobs, lol.

Welcome Commander. You will find many bittervets, gankers, miners, missioners, carebears (regular and nullbears), pirates and industrialists here, ready to be rejuvenated and live again without limits (and gate camps)...:D

Nice. They seem very receptive over there, perhaps because they don't feel it is some kind of direct competition? Who knows but its nice to see.

was an EVE player myself along with being a alpha beta tester for it. only played it for about 3 years after that as at the time it was the closest thing to playing ELITE. still a great game but its always lacked something that I just couldn't put my finger on. probably because it was nothing like ELITE.

anyway great vid you put together.
