No sport is the best sport. Cricket is damn fine for listening to while doing something boring, like long train journeys, waiting at the dentist, or listening to cricket.

Why not just beer and a deck chair
Should one find oneself in certain company that one would otherwise prefer not to be in, suggest a game of cricket and watch the riff raff disperse...
Or if yer hangin' oot wi a bunch o pansies and canni be bovver'd wi 'em, jist tell 'em thirs a game-o-cricket 'appen'n doon the road a wee bitty.
I used to like painting (pictures) and listening to cricket. I haven't found any cricket in Italy, strangely enough . . .

I quite like watching cricket. I find it quite relaxing to watch with a beer or two. I also like that someone like Phil "The Cat" Tuffnell can legitimately be described as a sportsman!

I hate cricket. More of a fan of Rugby Union.
Bet that is hard to come by if you're Scottish!
