1060 & Dk2 advice sought.

Right you lovely lot.

After selling a kidney I'm the proud owner of a Gigabyte GTX1060 6gb OC windforce.

This is sitting with

8gb ram
amd fx6300 3.5ghz
gigabyte GA-78lmt-usb3 mobo

Soooo... I'm trying to get the best performance I can for the DK2

Any hints and tips?

Can't afford to upgrade anything else as xmas and kids etc....

So any tweaks etc would be great.

Just don't forget to use the oculus config tool to set the pixel density to at least to 1.5.
I have the DK2 and the only big issue for me is awful color banding (seen around nebula's, halos, milky way edges, etc). I hope it does'nt bother you as much as it does me. It's made my exploring desire go down to 0.

I'd just make sure the DK2 goes to a motherboard USB2, you disable special USB power saving in the registry, you make doubly sure the sync cable works, and use the HDMI to DVI adapter if you get "funnies" with plain HDMI.

I've got all sorts of troubleshooting notes since way back when I had a 7950 - most of which no longer apply - but if you run into problems something might be helpful
