10k monthly profits from rides?

I'm currently stuck in the scenario "Night Encounters", since I can't pass the last challenge, where I should reach monthly profit of 10k from rides.

I managed to reach monthly profit of 6000€ by luck, but now that I have built more rides, I can't even manage that.

I've got one of every researched rides (the scenario seems to provide flat thrill rides only), upped the cost of every to 11-13, refurbished all the rides to prevent them getting broken all the time, got scenery to 80-100% on every ride, and adjusted some rides to be faster.

Now I've done that, I'm stuck at:
9000+€ from ride tickets, which could be more if I upped the ticket prices.
...whopping -6100€ from ride operation costs.

Which leaves my monthly income of rides to ~3000€.

The park rating is over 1200 and there's like 1,6k visitors in my park.

The prestige level of rides is mostly 2,5-3, I don't really know what it does. I've also disabled ride aging from the settings.

What am I doing wrong, and why are the operation costs so absurdly high?

When do the peeps pay for the rides? When entering the ride or when entering the queue? Because my queues are pretty short, as I tried to avoid the "line too long" complaint.

Longer queues, yes. They pay upon entering.
I remember being able to charge more than usual for rides in that scenario.
Also, place multiples of the lowest running cost rides. The scenario suggests this, already having two of that claw tower ride thing.
Make sure your queue scenery is at 100% for all rides. It lets you charge more.

if a ride carries 20 passengers, the queue doesnt really need to be much longer than that... this topic is discussed further here https://forums.planetcoaster.com/showthread.php/21625-The-trouble-with-really-long-lines

as for making additional profits, just go ahead and place an extra couple of rides. its not cheating to have 2-3 wild blues or whirly rigs as those are the most profitable rides IMO. You obviously paid off your loans right? Well, I would also make sure to have a couple marketing campaigns running at all times, but don't buy the more expensive ones they are not worth it.

there's like 1,6k visitors in my park.
you mean 1,600? yea you could use a couple more rides to boost that up
