Halfway to the galactic core, and I can go no further. My ship is broken and beaten. The FSD is in critical condition, The food processor is malfunctioning, and I burned out my last vibrator some thousand light-years back. If I don't turn around now, I fear I may never make it home.
I didn't make it to the core, but I have made it farther than all but a scant few. I am witnessing sights that no human has seen before. I've been to the Lagoon Nebula, NGC 6357 and Pismis 24. The temptation to keep going is strong, but too many explorers have fallen victim to that fever, only to die out here in uncharted space, their experiences never to be shared with the rest of humanity. I can't fall to that same trap. The challenge I face is to make it back to Cismontani with the data I've collected.
It's going to be difficult without my vibrator.
