13 jumps?! Worst. Route. Ever.

You didn't have the jump range for 13Ly. Upgrading your frameshift drive and/or reduce mass is required.
Also check you didn't have economical routes set - second tab in Galaxy map.
 
Your jump range (laden) is 8.87LYs and Nervi is 13.09LYs away, so the route planner had to find a route to your destination with that restriction in mind. And it did.

Upgrade your FSD.

He starts on economical, then switches to fastest after plotting the route. I'm not sure, but don't you need to re-plot the route if you switch the plan type?

EDIT: Nope, just saw it changed slightly. Purely a jump range issue then.

Looks like its time for an upgrade. What ship is that anyways ? A Cobra ? Maybe not ideal for supply runs.

Yea that was a Cobra. But once I reached the station I was going to I upgraded to a Viper MkIV.

And yea, you guys are probably right. I didn't take in to account the minimum jump distance. So definitely need to upgrade the FSD. I'll look in to it next time I'm on.
 
Aha, you like more of those fighter type ships. Long as you have fun friend, use what ever ship you want. Maybe upgrade parts a bit.
 
I'm sure people have had worse than this, but notice how the system I was going to was only 13 Ly away! All the jumps quadrupled that distance.

This is the weirdest route I've ever had to take and I wonder why it had to go that way.

I had a simular one happen to me while in a stock t6 freighter, ironically, before the next trip which was a return to the place I had just left, I spent 1.5 million upgrading it to the max. Now it has a resale of 2.5 million. When I plotted the trip back the routing changed, where as my trip there involved 6 jumps, the trip back was only three. Don't know how muched it helped if at all, but I have no hard points. I am not a fighter and I only play in solo. I out ran more than two dozens interdiction attempts in a winder but had some small repair bills each time, my t6 never receives any damage when interdicted prior to upgrading, maybe luck, but the interdictions have dropped to 2 in a ten hour play time.
