The 13th Legion withdrew today from 41 Lambda Hydrae after a victorious ten day siege on the Winters Wolves' home system. The assault started after 13th Legion scout CMDR Cev Rosa discovered the 41 Lambda Hydrae system was a training ground and safe-haven for terrorist forces wanted by the Empire.
CMDR Cev Rosa came across a member of the Winters Wolves who claimed that their group and their 'powerful allies' would crush any Imperial ships foolish enough to enter 41 Lambda Hydrae. Given recent attacks in the area on Imperial settlements by suspected terrorist factions, CMDR Cev Rosa proceeded to 41 Lambda Hydrae where he was confronted by one of the leaders of the Winters Wolves. Despite the 13th Legion's plea for peace, the Winters Wolves beat the drums of war, resulting in an Imperial task force of two 13th Legion wings deploying to the system.
Shortly after the arrival of the 13th Legion peace-keeping mission, two wings of terrorist forces arrived at the defense of the Winters Wolves and tried to ambush the Imperial forces. The terrorist forces suffered heavy losses at the hands of the Imperials, with zero 13th Legion casualties (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-63nPN5xaQ). Once proof of an alliance between the Winters Wolves and terrorist forces was confirmed, the 13th Legion set up an immediate blockade of the system.
For ten days the Imperial forces pounded the system, reducing the Winters Wolves system influence from around 40% to a rock-bottom 7%, as well as forcing the system into Lockdown as the system's inhabitants revolted against the faction (https://imgur.com/a/45Zpv). In a show of Imperial mercy, Federation citizens of 41 Lambda Hydrae were given the opportunity to flee their oppression and join the Empire. Wealthy and affluent Federation citizens were given immediate opportunity for citizenship, while the less-affluent citizens were given the opportunity to become Imperial slaves and earn their citizenship. A mass efflux of transport ships were seen leaving 41 Lambda Hydrae as citizens weary of oppressive Federation rule sought the safety of Imperial-controlled space.
