14 hours Grinding Challenge

How do you people get the 3000cr/ton profit routes? Is there a secret knowledge somewhere? I'm about to buy type-6, the first ship it makes sense to have regular trading in, and i'm scared.

You need to find a large - huge population high tech economy system near something else similar in size but with a different economy. I'm doing good with a run between a refinery and a high tech place - progenitors one way: about 800 credits a pop. Then gold on the way back: 1200. I'm sure there are more profitable runs out there, but yeah, I like to take breaks and play pew pew with pirates, and I know every system the bulletin board offers missions to in case I feel like one of those.

Also had good luck with tobacco from an agri to a high tech, and progenitors the other way.

You just need to experiment, commander.

Congrats Athera! I think I could handle a 14+ hour session but I'd probably lose my wife and kid in the process.
So, I will have to plan a nice trip to her sister's place... for them!

Have some rep!

Holy crap on a Ritz cracker. I guess congratulations are in order. Though 14 and a half hours trading...

My brain starts melting when getting near the two hour mark. To such a point I get in serious risk of doing something stupid, like forgetting to load up with cargo before launching, or much much worse, forget to ask docking permission. At that point I either log off, or change it up doing missions or just a killing-spree at a nearby RES or something.

14 hours, man. I already got a job. :)

Yep, been there done that. Or forgetting to lower landing gear/ignoring warning for a mandatory 2% scrape. Then there's my favourite, jumping back and docking at the very station you just left from..........

Thanks everyone. And mistakes happen after 10 hours of gameplay XD... Hopefully Star Wars kept me awake :)

http://www.elitetradingtool.co.uk/ -> Find trades + bidirectional = profit. If you want something fairly profitable, not 3000cr/t profit (2748 actually), but good nonetheless, here's one to get you started.

LHS 142 (Vo Dock) 10ls Beryllium → LTT 1349 (Lundwall City) 136lsBuy: 7621 (11m ago)
Sell: 9040 (2h 59m ago)

LTT 1349 (Lundwall City) 136ls Progenitor Cells → LHS 142 (Vo Dock) 10lsBuy: 6181 (3h 25m ago)
Sell: 7510 (11m ago)

This is actually very decent route because both end points are only a few ls from the star.

Athera, congratulations! That's the spirit.

BTW, where would you spend that 800 mills for pimping out? What station has the high-end goods?

Outfitting a conda for combat with A parts cost around 1 billion. Just the armor is something like 400 million.

You can find good parts at every High-Tech system near your place !

Here is a link of a video with the cost of outfitting this beast
