143 days since we last heard from Seo Jin-ae! Did Frontier axe the Azimuth plot?

Update: 159 days

Its been 143 days since we last heard from Seo Jin-ae!

What is going on?

Did Frontier decide to axe all the storylines they built up during the Azimuth Saga? What happened with Salvation, with the Nemesis Failsafe and other plotlines like the rescued pod people? There are a bunch of players still working on these puzzles and storylines, it would be a shame if all their effort was for naught because we have been left in the dark about the future of the narrative.

I feel like we players who have stuck with the game for years deserve some transparency, we all know the gaming industry is in a rocky place right now, that fdev had to downsize and we empathize, but I still feel some answers are in order.

Anyone else feeling this way?

I can only agree here, it strongly feels like the story arc has just been cut down to/devolved to shooting a Titan or there’s no “story” here(and it seems arguable if just having the Titans there as big targets is really “story”). Whether that is due to downsizing or pushing the Titans out of the way for the Powerplay rework… up for debate. (And I have my opinions on that, unlikely to be popular ones.)

And let’s not forget the whole Far God cult thing either. The last thing we got about that was the Dedicant(maybe something will happen there if/when Thor is destroyed, because that’s where it was found/still is), and the Testament all the way back following the Nemesis reveal… after which it went back into nowhere.

I feel 143 days is being generous, given the last "update" was entitled "Seo Jin-Ae Departs in Silence". A fair bit longer for anything of actual substance, but even further back there are many unresolved points from her. Thargoid prisoners being "important to the next stage of the invasion, anyone"?

Perhaps after this part of the war is over. The galaxy is quite too busy now to add another story line
I think the playerbase can handle two or perhaps even three storylines at once, the Azimuth Saga proved that. Thats also being generous in calling what we currently have a storyline. You'd think the death of Titans and a potential end of the war in sight would prompt a lot more activity.

Hmm, talking about missing persons, I'm still waiting to read any transmissions / news of the 'Golconda'. I wonder if they've settled anywhere inside or outside of the bubble yet.

Jack :)
Missing people? Would love to see the return of Riri! Would love to see the League of Reparations get involved with taking out Azimuth once and for all, since the Wych was so close to Jameson's assassination when he worked for INRA.

Ben Hennessy, Frontier's Senior Narrative Writer, responsible for this and many other narratives was made redundant last year.

Yes I did see this, was sad to see him go, but that doesnt mean the stories cant continue in some capacity, im sure notes were left as to how they intended to conclude, also, and to be frank, we shouldnt have to go to twitter or reddit and look at posts from someone leaving the company, if there are changes to the direction of the game, frontier should tell us through official channels.
