fyi.....dont know if anyone needs to know but the Spooky and Adventure packs r 15% off all weekend (mentioned on twitter)

Sadly I haven't. After paying 75 dollars for early bird access, it's hard to pay more to have a complete game. If I purchased every pack for the game I'm looking at over 130 USD for a single game. That's a ton of money...

Yes it is a lot of money. But consider, (this is an old argument that has gone on here for years now), what you paid for is EARLY ACCESS. You got the pleasure of playing the game for months before it's official release. That is what your 75 went for. Nothing more. You could have waited and picked it up the numerous times it's been on sale.

As for "complete game", this argument has also been beaten to death. Who is to say what the complete game is? You? I believe Frontier decided what the complete Vanilla was when they released it. And before the other dead horse gets raised, what RCT 1,2, or 3 had and PC does not is hogwash. Different publisher, different games. Why not complain that Pepsi doesn't market Coke?

Thank you Heather for the info on the sale!

Oh, I'm not dissing the price or complaining by any means. Simply it's hard for me to bring the argument to my wife to let me buy it [money]. I think the DLC is fantastically priced and will be buying at least two of them.

I bought the Early Birdh not only to play it earlier but also to support the devs and give crucial feedback before they release a game hoping my feedback would help mold the game to be succesful and fun for years to come. Unfortunately they've proven feedback isn't something they always listen to or even care about which sometimes is a bit of a shame. You have to ask for something alot of times or sometimes even for a year before they even do something about it if they even do something about it in the first place.

As for complete game... Well. Since they made RCT3 and nailed the theme park sim and theme park building genre, you'd at least expect them to improve upon that. Yes the game is more detailed so it takes more time to develop a single ride, but I still think the ammount of flatrides and transport rides we got to this point is hilariously bad. So I dont think it's a very complete game. Its a graphicly superior game thats for sure

Only two?! Studios is a must...the other two I couldn't choose between. Just tell her that each DLC is £12, not £8. That way you can buy all three [wink]

Ah, whole different argument. Well, they are on sale! Maybe pick them up one at a time. Personally, I would go Spooky, Studio, then Adventure. The car packs you can pick up whenever. Of course, your priorities are different than mine. Maybe give up food for a week or something...[big grin]

Yes, all that goes without saying. But my original point still stands. You paid for early access, not unlimited free updates until you feel the game is complete, as many have argued about around here. And again, Different publisher, different games. Why not complain that Pepsi doesn't market Coke?

What they did or did not due for Atari is not the point. They also created two major expansions. The base RCT3 game had like 25 flats, pretty close to PC. It took Atari what, three years to release the "complete game"? Then of course the community took over. That was the game changer. PC has only been officially out, what, like 16 months?

You seem to have argued (regardless of your intent) that historically the community's done a better job of meeting the community's gaming needs than the devs have. I agree with that.

The game was/ is still in development after release. This is a fact the devs have pointed out from the start. Not sure anymore how they phrased it, but the free updates have always been part of that concept. This makes your statement about Frontier claiming PC to be "complete" at release incorrect. By definition it couldn't have been.
Why do you think there are still free updates? They're part of their release strategy.

You claim anyone was expecting "unlimited free updates" but that is a misrepresentation of what's being said. And no matter what you say, anyone making a drink like Coke knows beforehand that it will be measured against the original, no matter what company you are and if you call it Coke 4.0 or Pepsi or whatever.

Btt. I won't be buying the DLC, Spooky pack is definitely overpriced even with 15% off, not sure about the others. I wouldn't mind so much because the base game was fairly cheap, but as long as it's lacking in so many areas I feel it's not worth investing in.

Yes only two. I'm mainly interested in the adventure pack and the studios pack :p. Both of those will be excellent additions to my parks and livestreams. I finally got her on board (since she just purchased super expensive sims 3 packs that costs 30-40 bucks with less than half the items that these have), it's harder because she has a macbook and can't play PC, so making her understand why I want it is a little harder. If she could play the game I'm sure she would say yes without hesitation lol.

For YOU perhaps. The spooky pack is why I got the game in the first place. In a sea of games with in game purchases that can easily get out of control I find the DLC prices to be quite reasonable even for things like Studio which actually has very little useful content for me. For how I play every useful thing counts. Not everyone plays that way, but for me it's fine.
